Everything was delicious, fresh and full of flavor. Lunch for two. Celebrating a birthday. We ate: croquetas de jamón, lamb chops, vegetables with egg, Piquillos Rellenos de Bacalao, Cigalas a la Plancha Langoustines and the bread-great for dipping! We also had tasty palomas made with reposado. The service was attentive and friendly. Would definitely recommend and can’t wait to return and try more items on this menu. With tip under $150.
Asked Reddit for “affordable but legit tapas near the slipper room” and it didnt steer me wrong with Tomino! Went with my partner and 2 friends - definitely make a reservation bc they are busy! We had a great experience.
All of our dishes were delicious - was especially impressed w the octopus - it was tender and had a great flavor. It’s always a gamble ordering 🐙 in the US (often chewy) but the octopus at Tomino was excellent!
We got:
The pan con tomate
Octopus
Mushroom croquettes
Potato tortilla
Branzino
We spent under $200 for the 4 of us, including drinks.
Service was great, attentive and we didn’t feel rushed. Highly recommend!
Ok, this place does have the best tortilla de patatas in NYC. We tried a good sample of the menú but the tortilla was the star, soft , gooey snd golden delicious. Great selection of wines and to topple al off, the tarta de Santiago was the best one I tasted in my life; mind you I am an aficionado and tarta de Santiago biggest fan. To die for. Make a reservation and come to this hidden gem, you won’t regret it.
Producto bueno, bien ejecutado y ambiente auténtico. Para repetir.
Portions were too small for the price points and I was not wowed by the taste profile- they’re fine tapas but by no means comparable to what you’d get in Spain.
Staff trended on the unpleasant side.
Drinks were good and overall ambience was nice.
I’m not sure we’d go again to dine in but might for evening drinks.
Volveremos seguro.
