The last 110km of the Camino de Santiago with Manni and Toma & Coe is nothing short of a life changing experience. What you get with Manni and his assistant José is an experience full of observation, wander and awe. Manni is the most passionate pilgrim I have had the fortune to meet, and his passion is so palpable as part of this experience, you get to understand the nuances of the Camino and so many details and pieces of information that would otherwise be easily missed. You are welcomed, respected and cherished as an individual in the group, making friendships that will last a lifetime. Our Camino Experience with Toma & Coe
It’s difficult to put into words just how special our recent Camino de Santiago experience with Toma & Coe truly was. The organisation, planning, and execution of our seven days together were nothing short of sublime. Every detail was handled with precision and care, and both the accommodation and the culinary experiences along the way exceeded our expectations by a considerable margin. We were incredibly fortunate to walk with Manni and Pepito, two extraordinary human beings whose warmth, humour, and deep knowledge of the Camino enriched every step. They guided us with genuine care and attention, and their presence was an absolute gift to the whole group. And then there was the group itself—the real magic fairy dust. From our very first briefing on the Sunday evening through to our arrival in Santiago’s cathedral square, ten strangers became a tight knit family. Despite spanning ages from our 20s to our 60s, we bonded instantly, shared stories, supported one another, and created memories that will last a lifetime. We have no doubt these friendships will endure. A special mention must go to Marivi, one of our Camino angels. My son and I chose to spend an extra day at both the start and end of our trip. Without hesitation, Marivi reached out to ask whether we’d like her to arrange the additional transfers, transport, and accommodation. She handled everything seamlessly and communicated each detail with clarity and warmth. It made the entire experience effortless. We walked the final 108 kilometres from Ourense to Santiago in late April and early May 2026—nine remarkable days in total, six of them walking. Ten strangers became one family, and we completed a journey that will stay with us forever. We wouldn’t hesitate for a moment to recommend Toma & Coe—in fact, we already have, enthusiastically and without reservation. Trip of a Lifetime!
What a journey! A week of walking the Camino with Manni and Pepito ( The absolute best!) We started in Ourense with 12 total. What began as a group of people I had never met ended with a true Camino family. We formed friendships that will continue forever. It's difficult to describe what happened on this wonderful writing retreat with Toma & Coe, where ten aspiring writers came together under the care and tuition of the wonderfully brilliant Manni Coe and Joanna Quinn.
Every aspect of the experience was superlative; from the exquisite luxe location, Mangerton House, nestled in a Dorset valley, with its pools and saunas and excellent food, to the effort and energy - and friendship that was extended.
Lessons on both the craft and psychological elements of the writing journey were addressed. A third, prize-winning surprise author also visited to share their writing story.
This course went above and beyond, and I'm filled with renewed writing purpose - I will never forget it. Thankyou!

A fantastic week of learning, eating, writing, walking and forming new friendships. The house is really unique, beautiful, eclectic and welcoming. A home with incredible views and quiet, relaxed atmosphere. The food cooked for us was wonderful, impossible to pick a favourite meal. Our writing hosts were supportive, clever, warm and encouraging. Just the right amount of work to downtime ratio. As with everything in life the people - hosts, tutors and fellow writers made it what it was, a magical week.
