Hi Michael. We've taken your review seriously and have reviewed our CCTV from the period surrounding your visit. We cannot find anyone waiting 35 minutes - or anything close to that - without being served, nor can we identify any incident matching the one you've described.
You also refer to “waiters” chatting to each other, whereas our front-of-house team on duty were female waitresses, which makes it even more difficult for us to identify the visit you're describing.
If you did visit us, please contact us directly with your approximate arrival time and where you were seated so we can investigate further.

We booked a table for 9 today for a granddaughter’s birthday celebration and another Granddaughter achieving great GCE grades. Everything was ready when we arrived and looked lovely. We had to book beforehand and pay in full as we wanted the afternoon teas as we were told they had to buy the ingredients in and didn’t want to waste food, on 3 occasions by phone we confirmed our small well behaved dog could join us and it also states that it’s a dog friendly restaurant on the website in Kings Lynn, however when we arrived our celebration afternoon was spoiled as we were greeted with a blunt unfriendly ‘dogs are not allowed inside’ even though the table was laid inside knowing full well we were bringing our small dog. Taking into consideration that this was booked and confirmed by the manager primarily on two occasions. When phoned by the member of staff he confirmed the dog was not allowed inside. Therefore why was the table set inside when they knew we were bringing the dog?
We received a full refund and luckily Marriott’s Warehouse accommodated us all and made sure we had a lovely meal and lovely time.

Hi Zena,
We’re sorry that your family celebration didn’t take place with us as planned. However, having spoken directly with our General Manager, who handled your booking, we do need to clarify some of the details in your review.
There was no mention during the booking process that a dog would be attending, nor did our manager confirm on two occasions that dogs were permitted. We have also thoroughly checked our King’s Lynn website, and it does not state that the restaurant is dog-friendly.
There may have been some confusion with our Lincoln venue. Lincoln has a separate bar area where we can accommodate guests with pet dogs while still considering customers who may have allergies or a fear of dogs. Unfortunately, the layout of our King’s Lynn venue does not provide a suitable separate area, which is precisely why we do not advertise it as dog-friendly.
We have also reviewed the CCTV footage from your arrival. It shows that Kerry remained polite while explaining the venue policy and trying to handle the situation. We appreciate that you were disappointed, but we were equally disappointed by the way she was spoken to while carrying out her role. Quite unnecessary for a situation that wasn't of her making.
As we couldn’t accommodate your dog inside the restaurant, a full refund was issued immediately. We’re pleased another venue was able to accommodate your party and that your family celebrations could continue. *Update* you've since edited your review to include screenshots of asking Google if we are dog friendly. Unfortunately Google has pulled information from a misinterpreted TripAdvisor review from January 2026 where a customer complained of a 'picketline of dogs' outside. Googles AI has assumed this to mean that we are dog friendly inside the restaurant rather than only outside and has resulted in giving you the incorrect information. Our own website states clearly that dogs are welcome outside and only service dogs inside. I'm sorry that Google AI has returned incorrect information to you however we are not in control of how third party applications generate their information.

I was having an early birthday lunch with my brother and sister in law and I’d heard so many great recommendations to go here and it lived upto the hype.
The staff Zoe and Meg were absolutely fantastic and really attentive but also made jokes and created a really relaxed atmosphere.
The food!! Was just incredible, I had the bacon, Brie and cranberry burger and what a pure delight. The desert, the twix cookie pie was fantastic. One of our party had dietary needs and was accomadated perfectly by the staff explaining everything.
This is a place I’ll be back to and it’s a shame it’s taken me this long to go. Really had the best pre birthday treat.
Our waitress Zoe was brilliant and made our evening really lovely
The staff was very kind and always checked to make sure everything was okay , the bacon was a little to crispy for me but that’s personal preference
I like visiting the Tipsy Teapot restaurant when I visit King's Lynn, in fact it's probably one of the only draws to visiting King's Lynn. The staff and decor are absolutely wonderful in here, the flamingos are a great touch! However, the veggie options are a little lackluster - I'd definitely expect more of them. I'd still say it's worth a visit tho!
Lovely little restaurant and food was great and the tapas option is unique for the area.
The waitress said it was a her first day, and did well and was very welcoming!
A couple of criticisms would be the plates brought out were pretty but one was chipped, and the cutlery didn't look overly clean so had to give a wipe over ourselves.
Would return and try something else on the menu, as food was very yummy
Flawless dining and great service
We had dinner here after my niece's wedding, and it was absolutely flawless. The staff, particularly George, Megan, and Keri, went above and beyond to make our evening exceptional, effortlessly accommodating last-minute requests.
Their outstanding hospitality made everything feel stress-free. The food was delicious, and the banana colada was simply perfect.
While I'm not a fan of artificial flowers/plants, this minor detail didn’t detract from the experience. I highly recommend this place for any special occasion. Thank you to the amazing team for such a memorable evening!

Took the wife to the tipsy teapot kings lynn for our wedding anniversary, our server George was Fantastic very helpful and attentive. Everything you want in a restaurant.
Service exceptional by Megan really attentive. Food was well presented , tasty with good portion size well done to the chef Leon 5 star visit
Amazing place amazing vibe drinks are fab.
Great food, friendly service from everyone Meg, George & made us feel welcome
Stopped for some lunch. Great service by Megan and the team. All so friendly . My partner and I shared a sandwich which came with fries and a lovely dressed salad. Plus some loaded nachos. Was totally stuffed ! Freshly cooked food , great portions and great atmosphere.
The environment was pleasant and the food was 👌 especially the Newyork burger.
Food was a little over cooked but Megan was a great waitress.
Visited here as was in the area for a festival.
Lovely little venue and staff were friendly and nice.
Food came out fairly quick and was reasonable priced. The food itself was a little lacklustre and was missing a bit of flavour.
The women's toilet looked really good but its a pity not as much thought went into the blokes toilets I as well.

Thank you for visiting and for your kind comments about our venue and team. We’re sorry the food was a little lacklustre on this occasion - we’ll certainly pass your feedback on to the kitchen.
As for the gentlemen’s toilets, Tipsy Teapot has quite literally been built by just two people - so only two pairs of hands! If someone could invent a 52-hour day, we promise they’d be finished by now 😂 They are still a work in progress and will receive the same Tipsy treatment as the ladies’ loos as soon as those hands (mine and my husbands) get a spare moment.
We hope you enjoyed the festival and that you’ll pop in again if you’re back in the area.
