I could not be any happier with how our Tiny Planet van conversion turned out. It is breathtakingly beautiful, very comfortable, and extremely well-made. The craftsmanship is top-notch, and the functionality of each component is just perfectly thought out.
From the beginning, Denis made the design process easy. He was gifted at taking our vague ideas of a design and turning them into very specific features that were custom fit into Tiny Planet's design themes. He was easy to communicate with, and he presented us several options at different price points for each feature. We challenged him, for sure, because we had some unusual layout ideas.
Tiny Planet was able to start work on our van before the estimated date and finish it before we expected. We were able to visit their shop, and we were impressed at the intricate build process with great attention to detail.
It was very exciting to see the finished van presented to us, and Denis took lots of time to carefully walk us through every single feature and how things operated. The craftsmanship was superb! Every feature was exactly as designed, and everything worked perfectly.
In the 6 months we've had the van, we've put about 5K miles on it and about 30 nights of camping. We learn something new every time out, and Denis is always reachable quickly when we have questions. He seems to always have the answer ready instantly. Our relationship with Denis feels more like a friendship than a typical customer relationship.
In summary, we now have an extraordinary camper van that is everything we hoped for, and we would go back to Tiny Planet again with no hesitation at all.
Our Tiny Planet Van build and post build support has been so much better than we could have imagined. Denis, the owner and lead designer, is incredibly knowledgeable and responsive and was able to design in all of the custom aspects that were important to my wife and I. We had the benefit of leveraging the ideas in the latest vans that had been built and then changing and adding on our wants. The workmanship has been first class and anytime we show the van to friends or strangers they are blown away. When we have had any issues or just forgotten how something should be done, Denis is always available, and we have hopped on facetime or zoom calls to troubleshoot when needed. It is really comforting to feel confident in the van and confident we can get help is needed. We have now used the van in Summer and Winter and have been super happy. The full size shower area with the pullout toilet makes a world of difference and the giant battery system with Solar has never left us even close to worrying. We can run everything for days in the winter fully off grid and during the summer, the solar alone keeps the battery at 90%+ even while leaving my two fridges running. Things to consider: 1) we are small and opted for the full size bed, but if you are not small then I think a queen would be better, 2) our suspension is upgraded to a Van Compass 4.3 which gives us a really nice ride with the option of going off road, 3) we added the Aluminess steps which were very helpful given the suspension upgrade along with tires. Best of all, it was only 9 weeks from start to finish after Denis helped us find a suitable van in the area. We were getting 5-6 month quotes from other builders, but we liked the fact that Denis' guys are skilled craftsman and the knowledge that we were tweaking all the good ideas that had been perfected instead of reinventing the wheel and hoping the outcome would be as expected.
I am extremely pleased with my MB Sprinter Van from Tiny Planet. Denis and Sofia were very easy to work with in purchasing the van, and during the conversion. They also made requested modifications such as installing a microwave, extending the bench seat, and adding my SONOS speakers. They have since added lights to my awning plus several other upgrades.
I just finished a 4,000+ mile,16 day tour of the southwest, camping and boon docking, and never plugged in to shore power once. My batteries never were less than 70 percent.
The workmanship on the conversion was topnotch. I love the heated floors and the induction cook top and I was even able to use my toaster for morning toast. The van is well insulated and kept me nice and warm on those cold night at 10,000 plus feet.
Denis was always available when I had a question and was very patience when trying to explain how to operate various items that I didn't quite understand.
I have since added side steps and upgraded the suspension.
I am looking forward to many days and nights exploring the country and enjoying my van.
I would definitely recommend Tiny Planet and Denis and Sofia if you are considering van conversion.

There are a lot of reasons why we chose to work with Tiny Planet and ended up being thrilled in that decision!
The number one reason we are thrilled is QUALITY. Everytime we look literally anywhere in our van we cannot find a single instance of "That could have been done better". Paint lines are clean, woodworking is perfect, lines are straight. It's silly but what continues to amaze us is the caulking job, it's perfectly clean and straight, everywhere. They used a mix of clear, black and white caulk all where needed. It's a small thing but it shows how much care and effort is put into every single detail.
Secondly, we are thrilled with our vans APPEARANCE! It's not the cookie cutter RV looking camper van. It's a 5 star Bamboo inspired hotel we can take anywhere. Sofia does an incredible job with design, pro tip - JUST TRUST HER, she won't disapoint.
Lastly, we love the vans SYSTEMS. We have 5 star hotel appearance but backed with systems that exceed any van we've seen on the market. 42 gallons fresh water, heated floors, 900Ah of battery, undermount AC, walkable solar, Starlink, oven/airfryer, skylight and more.
Speaking of the PROCESS, it was good from day one. We called the number on the website and left a voicemail. Within minutes Sofia called back and was super nice. She setup a time to have a longer call to go over our project in detail. During that longer call Denis was there. Between the two they graciously answered a long list of system and design questions.
We opted to fly out to CA to meet the Tiny Planet team in person and tour the shop, this added a sense of confidence. It was very evident how much the entire crew cared about quality work in the few vans we toured while there. Sofia was able to show us a lot of design options in person which was very helpful in creating our one of a kind van.
After the shop visit, Tiny Planet finalized designs and systems and we moved foward. Tiny Planet helped us source a van through a local dealership. After we bought the van they coordinated delivery of the van to their shop for us.
During the build Tiny Planet provided updates and reached out as needed when they had questions for us or needed our approval. When we reached out they were there to answer our questions. We never felt like we were bothering them, it was clear they cared about creating a good customer service experience.
Pickup was a dream, luckily Denis filmed our reveal so we can relive that moment. The van was incredible but what really made it special was seeing the pride in the eyes of the Tiny Planet team as our van had several new features they had not done previously.
Long story short, we absolutely LOVE our van and highly recommend working with Tiny Planet!

We are so happy with our Tiny Planet Van. Denis and Sofia have designed their vans for full time living, and after being in the van for two weeks, we are just loving every bit of it!! The shower/toilet design is what really attracted me to this van and it definitely lives up to our expectations. The power system with two solar panels is everything we need and the way it’s installed is so thought out. The lighting is out of this world and creates such a fun vibe. Sofia and Denis were also great to work with from making sure the contract worked for us and also helping us customize the interior look we were going for with a forest theme. My wife and I purchased a 2WD 170 wheel base Mercedes Sprinter Bali Edition Van from the Tiny Planet Team in Feb/2023. It’s now April 3rd and we have traveled over 10,000 miles across 23 states and over 40 nights of experience in our Tiny Planet Van in temperatures ranging from the low 20’s F to 86 F. We continue to be amazed and impressed with the thought put into the design, layout and systems of our van, Fairwinds. Design: Galley with the deep sink, adjustable retractable spray faucet makes it easy clean up post meals. 2 swivel captains chairs make it so nice to interact with each other and friends. Drawers and cabinets have a solid magnetic anchor system that keeps them closed while traveling and the leather pulls vs metal handles saves your hips and elbows in close quarters. 600 watts of solar and 900 Amp Hours of Lithium, 40 gallons of fresh water, all provide us with the ability to be off grid for multiple days without worry or compromise. I added (and Tiny Planet installed) my Starlink system so I’m always connected and able to work remote. We also added (and Tiny Planet installed) a dedicated water purification system that includes a dual filter and UV light purification system connected to my freshwater tank that works perfectly. The shower is the bomb! The 0.4 gal/min shower head that mists creates a spa like experience that is so awesome….have to experience it but wow, what a great shower ….in a VAN! The hidden toilet on a slide is so unique and such a smart design feature. The fact that you have a roof deck for star gazing and pipe heaters on the water systems to prevent freezing and pipe bursts are two example of the attention to detail that Tiny Planet puts into everything about their product line. On top of all the features, systems and design wins, the support that Denis, Sofia and their team have provided has been nothing short of fantastic…timely responses, great information with links and quick answers to questions re: systems and operating know how, etc… We love our Van (Fairwinds) and highly recommend the Tiny Planet Vans to anyone looking for excellence in design, systems and experience without compromise. I am very happy with my van from Tiny Planet. My favorite parts about the van are the design and layout. You can really tell that they understand van life. There is a ton of storage and it's in appropriate and useful locations. The design elements in the van beat just about anything I've seen. The design is modern and light, which makes the van feel upscale and larger than it actually is. My van has design elements like a butcher block counter top and hexagonal backsplash that look really nice, much better than the sterile designs I've seen in a lot of van conversions. They also have some innovative designs like a toilet that slides into the shower, so that you have a full shower stall and a private bathroom. They were great to work with, shared lots of progress photos, and even drove the van out to me (for a reasonable fee). If you like their designs, I wouldn't hesitate to buy a van from Tiny Planet.
“I love our van!” this is what I say and sing this numerous times a day, every single time we go on a trip. I honestly could not be happier with this purchase. First, the van looks beautiful; the inside is light, airy and clean and has great atmosphere, especially the way in which the lighting has been set up. The lights and dimmers allow you to create and fine tune whatever kind of lighting suits your mood. Second, the layout is perfect! There is ample space to cook and sit comfortably for meals in various different configurations, either with the door open or closed. And there is plenty of room…we have had dinner with friends - easily seating 4 - by adding a little portable chair in the isle. We love the way the bed is permanently set up creating a large garage accessible back and front for ample storage. We love the pullout pantry and find the overhead cabinet storage for clothes, cooking gear and other needs perfectly sized and placed. We especially like the large open storage compartment in front above our seats for storage of jackets, hats and backpacks. The shower and toilet are phenomenal and provide a great luxury allowing one to be completely self-sufficient for longer trips. The toilet cleans easy and works – no smell - amazing! The systems in this van work great! There is ample solar power leaving the fridge, freezer and lights on for days and days, and we have energy for nice warm showers and easy cooking. The heat works great too – you will not be cold! We love the ladder and the deck on top, which have allowed us to easily add a rack for our kayaks and manage loading and tying up without too much trouble. We also added a bike rack, which still allows for easy opening back doors and loading with ample space. The van drives great, maneuvers like a regular car, handles the mountains great, and the seats are comfortable. While the van it itself is awesome, our experience wouldn’t be as wonderful if it wasn’t also for the wonderful customer service. Denis and Sofia are the two most wonderful, nicest people you could ask to have in your camp, as they will happily answer questions to help you through the ‘learning phase’ with patience, kindness and skill. It takes a little bit of time to learn how to best navigate the van’s systems, how to best manage solar energy, read the indicator lights, and how best to service and navigate the systems. They will answer your questions and help you every step of the way. Honestly, if you are thinking of buying a van; get a Tiny Planet van – you will not regret it. Enjoy!
