If I could I would give this place 0 stars. I came in to receive emergency dental care, and from the moment I stepped to the back to when I left - I felt completely humiliated, embarrassed, and left having an anxiety attack. The dentist was extremely passive aggressive (in tone and in care), as well as lacking compassion during the entire process. Medical staff did not do their due diligence in assisting me acquire my dental insurance at the time of service (a practice that is normally done when a patient does not have their insurance or is not aware of the insurance they may have) nor did they let me know to bring in my x rays during the initial conversation prior to the appointment. Overall, I feel the staff did not believe I was telling the truth based on information given to them and for that reason I was not treated with the kindness that I would normally receive from a healthcare professional. 0 stars. Would not recommend to any of my peers.

We’re very sorry to hear you feel this way, but your review is inaccurate and does not reflect what actually happened. This was a last-minute, same-day appointment, and you initially provided only a medical insurance card. When we asked for your dental insurance, you stated you did not have the information yet. If a patient does not know who their dental insurance provider is, there is no way for us to know it for them. While our front desk even attempted to locate your insurance by using your Social Security number across different insurance websites, they were still unable to find any coverage. We can assist in locating information once we have at least a provider name, but without that, it is not possible for any dental office to verify benefits. It was only after you left the office that you later called us back with your dental insurance representative on the line, and we were happy to assist you at that time.
We also offered to take an X-ray for you, but as with any patient who is unsure of their insurance coverage, we clearly explained the cost beforehand to avoid surprises. Bringing your own X-rays is not required at our office, our facility is fully equipped, but some patients choose to send theirs to save on cost.
Regarding your comment about the staff not “believing” you: we’re honestly unsure what you’re referring to, whether it was about insurance, pain level, or something else. At no point did anyone imply you were being untruthful. Our team was simply gathering the information needed to understand your situation clearly and make sure we provided you with the appropriate care, this is standard for all patients.
Despite the confusion, the doctor remained willing to help, provided care, and even wrote you a prescription to relieve your pain. We strive to treat all patients with respect and compassion, and we’re disappointed that your account does not reflect the efforts made to assist you. We truly wish you well and hope you find the care and comfort you need moving forward.

This practice was established many years ago by the two best dentists in the world- Dr. Knopf and Dr. Ballinger. After their retirement, I gave it a try and I am glad I did. It is still a top notch office and staff with excellent service. Dr. Stack is a brilliant dentist and a very kind and caring human being. Thank you for all you do. Timonium is lucky to have you.
Dr Stack has been my dentist for over 5 years. Most recently, Dr. Stack was very helpful with a stubborn toothache. He is excellent dentist that uses state of the art equipment and is very good at dealing with any type of situation. He also has a very professional and attentive staff working with him. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Stack to anyone looking for a dentist you can trust and feel good about!
Star was very sweet. I believe she could use a little more training. She was very rough and picked my teeth so hard I thought she was pulling them. She also had the water instrument positioned that my face was getting a constant shower the entire time. I also was forced to use your glasses to shield my face and they kept poking my eyes. Rene always allowed me to just leave my glasses on as they give the same protection without stabbing me. I think Star will be a fine hygienist with a little proper training. She was very personable and knowledgeable. I only left these comments to be constructive, not critical.
