We had a great experience with Timberline Patio Covers and PCF. Lucas, George, Don, Ryan, and Mario were all great throughout the process. Whatever issues came up, they worked diligently to resolve and the attention to detail was apparent. Would recommend and use again for future projects.
Thank you so much for the five-star review, Tim. Glad our team could work with you on your patio cover project! Enjoy your new backyard space!

I recently had a bid for a roof extension with this company. Unfortunately, my job fell through due to permit issues. My 5 stars are for their excellent customer service and followup. I wish it would have worked out and I will definitely call them first for any future work. They are focused on customer satisfaction...kudos!
We are so sorry the project fell through due to permit issues, Cheryl. We appreciate the kind words and we hope to be able to work with you in the future!

We contacted Timberline to do a roof extension over our deck. Cameron came out for the consultation. We were so excited to work with this company because of the examples of their beautiful work, so we went ahead and paid over 10k for the design and coordination of the job. Our job went to the design phase. All we have are some renderings that were prepared by Cameron. Then they find out during the permit process that we can't do the job due to a setback rule from the county. Heartbroken! I contacted the company and they refunded $6k of the 10k. I sure feel like we got ripped off. I understand that they did put some work into the planning but 4k is a little steep for receiving nothing. As was mentioned in another review, their legalese on their contracts makes it very difficult to argue with and I understand I was lucky to get back anything but I'm still feeling very taken for what I got. I really wish the setback issue could have been determined earlier in their process.
Edit: The owner of Timberline called me directly to explain their processes and how some procedural changes affected our particular situation. He promised a thorough process review to try and avoid such a situation for future customers. I have to say, I'm very impressed with the follow through and customer service extended to us. I nolonger feel like we were "ripped off" and have a much better understanding about what happened. I would definitely reach out if we have a different project.
We had an amazing experience working with Timberline Patios. They designed a 500sqft addition to our already existing covered patio and it is simply amazing.
We first met with Skylar who was extremely knowledgeable about the design process as well as offering his take on different styles and what would work for our area. We are still working with him on completing the outdoor kitchen to go with our new patio!
After the deigns were submitted to the city, we met with Mario who came to our house almost weekly to walk the project and ensure it was up to our standards, which it always was! Something I really appreciated about Mario was his opinion regarding the concrete pad which Timberline doesn’t do. He referred us to Casey who did an awesome job with our stamped concrete. They then worked together to make sure the concrete and patio were both up to our standards.
Jake and Eli were the primary builders for our project with Kyle coming in for the last week or so. I could not recommend Jake and Eli more. They worked so fast and hard to get this project done before our newborn arrived while still maintaining their high standards. They were very communicative about their progress. I really appreciated how clean they were too, especially with a toddler that liked to wander the construction area. Kyle was great when he came in to finish the post wraps and trim work. His attention to detail was suburb.
I would recommend Timberline to anyone looking to build or expand an outdoor living area. They are top notch and I can’t wait to continue to work with them through our kitchen design and build!
PART TWO 03/27/2026
We recently had an outdoor kitchen built by People Come First Builders (PCF)/Timberline, and the experience was absolutely outstanding from start to finish. This is a company we highly recommend.
Pat, our designer, did an incredible job bringing our vision to life. We wanted to create a space for our family of four to build memories for years to come and he nailed it.
Mario, the project manager, kept everything running smoothly and made sure we were informed every step of the way. He was fantastic at pointing out potential issues and immediately having solutions. An example would be a 600 lbs. pizza oven, and he was creative in building a spot to support the oven while ensuring the venting would be up to code. Mario was the driving force behind this project, and I encourage everyone to listen to his ideas and suggestions!
A huge shoutout to the installation team: Jack, Jake, Dom, and David. They showed up every day and were professional and their attention to detail was top notch. It was very nice knowing we as the customer never had to double-check their work. Their craftsmanship really shows in the final result, and we couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out.
PCF/Timberline nailed this project, and we couldn’t ask for a better product. If you’re considering an outdoor project, we strongly recommend People Come First Builders. They truly live up to their name!
We love the details of your 5-star review! Thank you for commending our team's work and noticing all the details in the build process that we care about at Timberline. Your project is amazing! Also, thank you for sharing the photos of your patio addition. We love the functionality with it being an extension on the side of your home! The entire outdoor space looks incredibly inviting. With the addition of the outdoor kitchen in the makes, can't wait to see what the final project will look like. Our team at Timberline is truly top notch. Kyle may never tell you this, but he won national Project Manager of the Year by the Certified Contractors Network! With that crew at your home, your outdoor kitchen build will be just as immaculate! Thank you for choosing Timberline Patio Covers for your custom outdoor project. We hope you enjoy it with your growing family for years to come!

Thank you Jake for your wonderful five-star review! Our Timberline Patio Cover team really appreciates it! We have passed off your kind words to the entire team. Enjoy you upgraded backyard space!
From the first meeting with the salesperson to the final cleanup, every aspect of my new paver step project with the Timberline Patio Covers and The People Come First Group was stellar. This company was highly recommended to me by someone who was surveyed over the phone about the quality of their work. In over 45 years of every kind of home remodel and project imaginable, I have never worked with a team as professional, knowledgeable about design and materials, and quick to respond as PCF. I highly recommend their services.
Thank you Rebecca for this wonderful five-star review! We're thrilled your paving project went so well!

I have mixed feelings about Timberline. I hired them because of the many great reviews and beautiful result photos. I even recommended them to a friend when the job started.
Pros:
• Communication was very professional. All communication and billing were handled through an app, which was convenient.
• The project manager who oversaw quality was very detail-oriented and easy to communicate with throughout the project. He was my favorite person on the team and, honestly, worth two stars on his own. Unfortunately, he only visited the site once during the project, although he did return at the end to review the work.
• During the estimate, the team explained the process clearly, drew pictures, and walked me through what to expect.
Cons:
• The pricing changed dramatically. I requested an estimate last year. When I asked for a new quote about six months later, the price increased by about 50%, which felt excessive and not fully explained by inflation. After discussion, they lowered the price closer to the original quote, but it was still higher. I should have trusted my instinct at that point. Later I got a surprise bill later ( they can argue that, but almost 4k to remove and replace rotten 3x6ft fascia was a surprise for me, and they found wood pieces that they “forgot”to return to store when I questioned the material costs)
• The final quality depended heavily on the individual workers. Some worker was skillful, but there was a lack of attention to detail. Then it ended up with panels not being nailed at all, areas left uncovered, strips popping up, different wood panels brought to site than what we agreed on, and steps being skipped even after I reminded them multiple times. When I questioned this, I was told those steps were unnecessary, etc.
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We genuinely appreciate working with you and understand your concerns.
You're absolutely right about our pricing shift. Like many contractors, we made the difficult decision to exit small repair work to focus on full build projects where we can deliver our best value. The price increase you experienced reflected our attempt to account for the inefficiencies of repair jobs, but we recognize this wasn't clearly communicated upfront. We should have been more transparent about this transition and understand why it felt frustrating.
Regarding the execution issues you mentioned, we fell short of our standards. While our project manager identified quality concerns during his final inspection, some details were clearly missed during the build process itself. The rot repair billing confusion and material discrepancies shouldn't have happened, and we apologize for those oversights.
We're glad our project manager provided the level of attention you deserved, and we heard you mention you might consider working with us again. That means a lot. We've taken your feedback seriously and are implementing additional quality checkpoints throughout our projects to prevent similar issues.
If there's anything still outstanding that needs attention, please reach out directly. We want to make this right.
Thank you for giving us the opportunity to serve you.

We had our aging patio cover replaced with one from PCF this summer. We couldn’t be happier with the result! From our initial meeting with our project consultant, Chris, who helped us with design and materials selection, through the completion of the project, we had a terrific experience with everyone we worked with. Thank you to Kyle B., David T., Millen, Eric and Mac for a 5-star job!

This has been the Best Company I have ever worked with as it pertains to working with the various Trades (Architecture, Engineering, Electrical, Mechanical and Structural).
They are the contractor with all the trades who are subsidiaries to them. They worked with us to design our entire project and build to what was designed.
As we started talking to People Come First originally, Denny our salesman, was a huge help in coordinating our project kick-off and helping us keep the design within reason and had a great personality during the entire process.
The communication was great and the workers doing the work were meticulous in building to "MAKE IT RIGHT" or "DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME". Jack and Edwin were the main builders of the structures and hardware installation. When Christian filled in, he continued the expert workmanship for not working 100% on the project. All of these guys are responsible for the workmanship in the pictures. They continued to work with us when unforeseen issues arose so we could resolve them immediately.
Having a project manager there really helped for us to understand why things had to be a certain way and, in the end, it made it safe and built right. Thank You Mario for being there to keep the project moving forward.
During the construction phase we had various inspection signoffs required by the City and every inspection passed with Zero rework or corrections. In fact, the inspectors stated during the various inspections how much quality they were seeing in the work; this included the electrical.
The electrical guys, Don and Ace had to run over 80 feet of a 125A line from the original circuit breaker for our heaters, outlets, light and fans. They also corrected the original wiring for my outdoor lights and fountain that was installed. All these items passed inspection with no findings from the Inspectors.
What about the Costs? We had multiple change orders because of upgrades we decided to include so we increased the original cost by about 35%. It wasn't cheap, but if you are only looking to spend $50K-80K for a complete area that is 22x16 you will get what you pay for in the long run.
The materials they used were also quality. They did not get any of the wood or structural hardware from HD or Lowz. It was delivered by a reputable small company here in my area and who most locals go, to get quality wood and beams.
I would recommend them to anyone, but if you are looking to save money, then they are probably not your first choice.
If you want a no hassle company that provides workmanship and cares about the outcome and reputation, then have People Come First (PCF) build your dream deck.
They also have a model set-up in Kent off Central if you want to see what they do, or you can see some of my pictures of their work.
To end, the best part is the 5 Year Warrantee of their work and continued communication on our Project.
DM, thank you for this very generous review for our Timberline construction crew! Rest assured we have shared this with the entire team! Thank you for your kind words and we're thrilled you are happy with how your backyard project came together!

Timberline was excellent to work with. Our overall deck project was complex, requiring skillful design and execution. Every member of our work crew was professional, courteous, timely and meticulous.
Our carpenters, Jake, Calvin and Landyn were thorough and top-notch in safety. Cristian did a wonderful job with the railings. Ace and Don made sure all electrical was complete and to code. Mario, our project manager, was always available for questions and took care of any and all concerns. Thank you so much!
Thank you Chris for your five-star review for our Timberline Patio Cover Team! We hope you enjoy your new patio cover and outdoor space!

For a very expensive design phase (over $9K) - you would expect the red carpet to be rolled out - but the communication was spotty at best, the design lacked key details (extra cost for landscaping, despite the $9K price tag), and in general the process was extremely slow (months on a design). Due to the lack of engagment, we opted to not do our backyard patio build with Timberline and found another contractor
Cary is excellent consultant. He is very knowledgeable and gives very detail information what we supposed to start with our deck. He communicates very well and keeps us informed. I would strongly recommend Timberline Services. Great job!
Thank you Thanh! Cary is one of the best project design consultants out there! We are thrilled that the People Come First Construction Group and Timberline Patio Covers team is providing you a five-star communication service on top of our quality construction! We hope you enjoy your new outdoor living space as it comes to life!

High quality work on covered patio. Transformed my existing space by removing existing and existing concrete ramp and opening up the space.
