​When your washer shut down mid-cycle, the locked lid was not a mechanical failure of the latch—it was caused by an electronic fault in the main control board and its integrated pressure sensor. Because the board was malfunctioning, the machine repeatedly engaged the safety lock whenever powered on. Our technician manually overrode the lock twice so you could retrieve your laundry.
​During the diagnostic, he also identified that the suspension rods were severely worn out. The complete quote (~$470) included OEM control board replacement, programming, and suspension overhaul. When a repair exceeds 50–60% of the replacement value of the washer, our policy is always to be transparent. Our technician agreed with you that replacing the unit made far more financial sense than investing $500 into an older machine.
​Our standard $70 diagnostic fee covers our time, travel, and expert troubleshooting so you have the facts to make that call. We always strive to provide honest assessments rather than pushing unnecessary repairs, and we wish you the best with your new washer.
