We had been dealing with a head scratcher of an issue with our Samsung HVAC unit. Darren stuck with the issue after finally receiving a new board from Samsung after 3 weeks. We ran into more issues when that new board wouldn’t communicate with thermostat & compressor. He stayed on the phone with Samsung support until the issue was finally resolved. It took hours upon hours. He wouldn’t leave until it was resolved.

I recently had Certified Heating and Cooling send Joe to check the pressure on my three month old system that was not controlling humidity. Joe was excellent. He was thorough, friendly, professional, and patient. He explained things clearly and did what was needed including addressing the refrigerant issues. Nick, the previous technician, also did a good job adjusting settings. Joe easily gets five stars. Sadly, my experience with the company overall is very different. The installation was poorly coordinated. The salesperson who designed the ductwork layout was absent on install day. The install team openly admitted they had no direction and improvised the job. I was promised a follow up visit and inspection, and even received messages assuring me that I was not forgotten, but no one ever followed through. It has now been over three months. This new 5-ton, fifteen thousand dollar system performed worse than the older & smaller 18-year antique unit it replaced. I expected the company to stand behind their work without me needing to push for it. Instead, they attempted to bill me for a service call that was the result of their own oversights. Only after pressing back did they do the work that should have been done from day one. While Joe and Nick represented the company well, my overall impression is that Certified has too many layers, too little accountability, and poor follow through. For the price I paid, I expected proactive support and consistency. Instead, I spent months frustrated and had to advocate for myself to get acceptable performance. Joe gets five stars. The company gets two. I cannot recommend paying a premium for this provider.

We had an older system that needed a good amount of work and decided best to replace the system. The sales process was all up front and clearly discussed. The install team was great, Hector and Will were on time, kept the area clean and showed how to operate. Highly recommend.
