A few years back, I thought, “Why not add MC’ing to my bag of tricks?” I jumped in, completed Gary’s Master of Ceremonies course, and very nervously waltzed my way into the wild world of wedding reception MC’ing. And honestly… what a hoot it’s been. Fast-forward to two weeks ago (26 November 2025) — after navigating some personal challenges in the lead-up and managing to drag myself into something a little fancy — I somehow walked away with Top MC in Queensland at the ABIA Awards QLD 2025. As if that wasn’t enough, I also took out 3rd Place Celebrant in Queensland. I’m still wrapping my head around it. The support of The Celebrant Society Network has been outstanding — the guidance, the laughs, and this brilliant little community is the best. I truly value everything this group offers and the way it supports, empowers and uplifts every individual. Thanks, Gary, Georgie, and all the State Leaders, and our original OGs…

Dear celebrants, THIS is your safe space, your community and your best resource. I joined TWS as a fresh little baby celebrant 6 years ago and was so glad for the opportunity to network but most of all to make friends. We support each other better than your best bra. It would have taken me years longer to reach the success Ive found in my business without the support and resources from these legends. PLUS, I recently attended a TCS event called Branding and Bonding, I walked away with new ideas for my business, new colleagues and new headshots; and my biggest problem was trying to pick which photo I would post to instagram first because they were all innnnncreeeediblllleee

I have been a member of TCS since before I was even registered as a celebrant and it has been one of the most valuable supports in my journey. In those early days it was such a comfort to have access to the incredible Facebook support group which is truly the most welcoming and judgment free space to ask any question big or small. This year I attended the TCS conference and it was absolutely fantastic with so much inspiration, learning and connection with others in the industry. I also love that my PLI is included in the subscription which is such a practical bonus. As a sole trader having a community of supportive and like minded professionals around you is invaluable. TCS has given me that sense of connection and ongoing encouragement and I highly recommend it to any celebrant whether you are just starting out or have years of experience.

Just WOW! SO much fun! I had the absolute pleasure of catching up with a handful of gorgeous Celebrants in Brisbane recently, thanks to charismatic Roxy who brought us together for lunch, wine, a quick branding audit (friendly, of course) and a lot of laughs and learning. Talented Brisbane wedding photographer, Kirsty from Wildflower Weddings was there too, camera at the ready, to take fun headshots of us all which was a super special bonus. I walked away feeling uplifted, empowered and inspired by my fellow Celebrants and I'm so grateful for this phenomenal community we have here in Brisbane!

As a regional celebrant I don’t get to all the networking events but manage a catch up here and there and always walk away refreshed, with a new friend and a smile! The focus is Community over Competition and I think we embody that so well. There’s so much knowledge shared freely, lots of specific help for newer celebrants, and of course all those one percent questions we all come across. Attending TCS’s Conference was one of the best decisions I made this year! Despite it being a very tough personal time, I flew to Sydney and it was absolutely worth it. The sense of community, the growth, the knowledge and the connections made were priceless. It was an even bigger honour to be part of a panel & share some of my insight.
