Great Service from Thames concrete
Really pleased with the service — the team was professional, punctual, and easy to deal with. Delivery was on time, concrete quality was excellent, and everything went smoothly from start to finish. Would definitely recommend Thames concrete for anyone needing reliable concrete supply and great customer service.
Blocked our road tonight. Stopping residents using the disabled access and parking. When people were trying to leave the road they refused to move the lorry until they were done. The lorry was attached to nothing! They could have just pulled forward just like they did once they completed the job and packed up they’re pipes!
Worst concrete company I have ever experienced. Had them on 3 different jobs, their operatives are completely incompetent and have blocked there pipes or machinery on all occasions and created a lot of mess in doing so.
The most recent job was filling 13 drilled piles.
The first 8 were poured from the first truck, the first 5 of these 8 were fine but with the last 3; clearly they ran out of materials to produce a sufficient mix but continued anyway. As a result of this the 3 piles are unusable. You can dig chunks of it off with a shovel and crush it into powder with your hand. Even after digging down 1.8 meters there was no improvement to the material. This has obviously caused a massive set back on the job and put up the costs significantly.
Thames were contacted about the issue and came to see for themselves, despite this they have refused to take any responsibility and have attempted to suggest that it was in fact an error with the piling method (they have no experience in piling). Ignoring the fact that the other 10 piles have not had any issues. You can clearly see the difference in materials, the good piles have stones inside and do not break easily and the 3 bad piles as mentioned above can be broken with your bare hands.
I highly recommend that this company is avoided at all costs as it is likely to cost more if they are used.
We recently had concrete laid by Thames Concrete and I couldn’t be happier with the service. The whole process was smooth from start to finish. The team arrived on time, worked efficiently, and the quality of the finish is excellent.
What really stood out was how helpful and professional the staff were – they took the time to answer my questions, explained each step clearly, and made sure everything was done exactly as required. It’s clear they genuinely care about customer satisfaction.
The final result looks fantastic and has already made a huge difference to the space. I would definitely recommend Thames Concrete to anyone looking for reliable, skilled, and friendly service.
Be very cautious when dealing with this company — or better, avoid them altogether. While their pricing may seem competitive, the quality of the concrete we received was extremely poor. The mix appeared to contain recycled rubble instead of proper aggregate, and the delivered material did not meet the specified grade.
In addition, we experienced discrepancies in volume: drivers adjusted the meter readings in a way that resulted in us being under-supplied or charged for more concrete than was actually delivered. This raises serious concerns about transparency and professionalism.
We paid extra specifically to receive C40-grade concrete, as required for our structural project. The material delivered fell far below that standard, as confirmed by independent testing. Photos speak for themselves.
We are now in the process of preparing a legal claim to recover all related losses from Thames Concrete. Proceed with caution.

Christopher,
Many thanks for the review, but its not a recycled rubble, you can clearly see thats a stone, and its a Marine stone.
