Hours on Google and DMV website say until 6pm. Got here at 515pm after work and they were already closed. Sign on the door has been edited to say they now close at 545pm, but apparently they decided to close early today.
Brittany and Mayu are my new superheroes. I live in another state, but the vehicle we needed the registration and title for had to be processed through California. The California DMV sent us and them through the ringer making it take *six months* (6 months of me not having to figure everything out because they amazingly navigated it for me - after a few years of Washington's DMV being the most unhelpful) of đBrittany and Mayuđ advocating for us and handling all the DMV's hoops and the different paperworks with us. 10,000/10 customer care. Went into the tag stop since theyâre our neighbors, I went in a couple times to ask about transferring titles from Nevada to California since we were in the process of purchasing a used rv trailer, & Mayu was so helpful and let me know what to ask for, and what to bring in when itâs time to get it registered.
I went in today to do the deed and mayu was able to assist me right away! And made the transfer process so easy!! I left today with my sticker & new California license plates & we couldnât be anymore pleased! She also made some chocoflan baked goods for her customers, so today was my lucky day!!

I recently moved from Texas, needed to change my plates from Texas to California plates and they helped me out! They were efficient, knowledgeable and professional throughout the whole process! The Tag Stop La Mesa has been a life savor. They have made managing a fleet of work vehicles a breeze. Between selling, registering, switching of titles, etc. they are my go-to with help as I am frequently going to their office. Always patient and takes the time to explain what I need to do or what else is needed. Handling DMV related tasks can be overwhelming but Mayu at Tag Stop has made it bearable. Much of my time and stress has been saved by Tag Stop, I can't thank them enough!
I cannot thank Mayu enough for everything , she made the registration of my vehicle a breeze. Super helpful and honest. She works super fast also within days i had everything resolved. Btw they have a super cute kitty my daughters were in love with him.
Mayu was extremely helpful and provided quick service. As a military member she was able to save me alot of money as well and she provided honestly the best service I have experienced in San Diego.
