We got Gunner a 95lb 14 month old Rhodesian Ridgeback Apr of 2025. He came to us with a wonderful loving disposition but other than potty training he had NO other training. To say he had an abundance of playful sometimes wild energy would be an understatement, he had no understanding of the appropriate behavior to be part of a family and live in the house with us and our cat . Since working with Andy, Erin and Amber for the last 6 months they have trained my wife and I how to teach Gunner what is appropriate behavior in our home. The 95lb canine tornado we took to "The School 4 Dogs" 6 months ago is unrecognizable, and so are my wife and I when it comes to understanding dog behavior. Without removing Gunner's happy go lucky "lets play" personality he is now a joyful part of the pack co-existing with people and other pets in our home. One of the most concerning behaviors was Gunner's need to chase our cat Satoshi in the house to the point where Satoshi stayed in the basement hiding. Without doing specific training to stop "chasing the cat" the obedience training fixed the problem, Gunner slowly started to understand Satoshi was part of the pack and he was not to be chased, now they are BFFs. The best part about the training The School 4 Dogs offers is that they're "FLEXIBLE" they tailored OUR training to OUR needs! We never felt like it was one size fits all training. After completing the initial 26 week training we just signed up for the "Off Leash E-Collar" training and only reason they get a 5 is because 10 wasn't an option. Last thought, be sure to check out the store "Indy Raw" since changing Gunner's diet from store bought Kibble to primarily raw I believe his demeanor has changed for the better, there is no more grass chewing and the eating of cat, squirrel or rabbit poop. I was completely satisfied with the results even though the dog was young he learned basic commands,seems very happy and enjoys doing the commands. They went the extra mile to help train him around a wheelchair that my grandson needs.Awesome job! Highly recommended.

My dog Harrison and I had a great experience at The School 4 Dogs. Harrison was struggling with reactivity. Both Andy and Erin are very knowledgeable and experienced trainers. Their calm and professional approach helped both me and Harrison feel more confident with our abilities over time. During our six-month course, I was able to easily choose the day and time each week for a session that fit my schedule. Each session was tailored to our needs building week by week to improve on following commands and reducing his reactivity. I highly recommend The School 4 Dogs.

Every class was customized to fit our goals for our dog and was not just a generic training session. He learned so much over the 6 months and we regularly get complimented on how well behaved our dog is at less than a year old. He was even able to pass his AKC CGC by the end of the 6 month course. We also had the opportunity to take a group class with Andy and Erin. This class was great exposure to other dogs, environments, and real world situations. From Zero to Hero in 6 months! After a year of training, and one month of very expensive board and train, I was told by Medical Mutts that my dog Beau Geste had 0% chance of being a service dog. The folks at School 4 Dogs took on the challenge and in 6 months of once a week lessons turned a hot mess into an exemplary service dog. I am in my seventies, and they tailored our lessons to take into account my military disabilities. Beau functions as a mobility assistance, seizure alert, PTSD, and diabetic alert dog. I literally cannot function in public without him. Thank you School 4 Dogs for my freedom.

The team at SCHOOL 4 DOGS seems very excellent. I signed up for training for Kobe. My black lab mix. They have a pool a great workout area for the dogs beautiful facility very well taken care of. I’m excited to start my first lesson with them! They really care about the dogs.

One year ago today I rescued a six-month-old golden retriever who had been originally adopted by college kids over Christmas break, and then had to go back to classes when the holiday was over. They loved her but after 6 months decided they couldn't take care of her so they called the local humane society to pick her up. This girl had an anxiety level that was off the charts, she was incorrigible, and bit us all the time. I almost re-homed her 3 times because we were so distraught. But then I met the director from the Four-Legged Ranch who told me about The School for Dogs. Understanding Sage's background, we decided she deserved a chance instead of re-homing. It was the best decision we could have made - for her AND us. Erin seemed to connect with her from the first training session. She took Sage in stride with patience and made Sage push out of her comfort zone. Soon, the pup who was terrified to even get in the car would run and hop in when we told her we were going to "puppy school." She learned to take those hurdles without a pant; even went through the tunnel and started scent training! Sage just graduated from her private lessons. She has come out of her shell, she's more confident in new situations, has acclimated to her forever home, and importantly, she's bonded with us. Next, we begin group sessions and when the weather is warmer, we'll start her dock-diving training. None of this would have been possible if we hadn't entrusted her to the competent, loving expertise of The School for Dogs. I can't recommend it enough! Thanks, Erin and Andy!

The School 4 Dog Great Training Facility Andy did a great job with our chocolate lab Ollie. Before we started Ollie knew very little and after 26 weeks Ollie is almost ready to be certificated. Andy is patient, clear, and very friendly which makes the training session with Ollie easy on him but organized and clear for us. Scheduling our training sessions is easy with the online site which allowed for flexibility with our busy schedule. Would highly recommend Andy his School 4 Dog
