I went to The Sartorial Shop because I wanted a custom black and navy vest inspired by a design I’d seen online that wasn’t available anymore. Zahir took that idea and turned it into exactly what I was looking for. He was professional, courteous, and genuinely fun to talk to. He helped me choose materials that fit my budget instead of trying to upsell me, and he made sure the whole project was finished before an upcoming minor surgery so I wouldn’t have to worry about timing. The finished vest looks great and feels well made. If you’re looking for custom or bespoke clothing in Vancouver and want someone who really listens and works with you, I’d definitely recommend The Sartorial Shop.

If I could give the Satorial Shop and Zahir more than 5 stars I would! After a disappointing experience at INDOCHINO I had to look for another tailor and suit maker for my wedding. I was lucky to find Zahir as he made himself available with very little notice. His attention to detail and his absolute expertise in suit making made me confident in having him procure a suit for my wedding day. I was so impressed I not only had my wedding tuxedo made (white tuxedo jacket with black lapels, black tuxedo pants) I ordered a green velvet dinner jacket and a full suit for my father for the wedding as well. I highly recommend the Satorial Shop and Zahir if you want a bespoke suit tailored for your body and your needs. His prices are very reasonable and for just a bit more than the big box store you get a suit and an experience worthy of your special occasion. PS: He also has a lovely selection of scotches to help you relax and savour the experience.

The moment you put on one of his handcrafted suits, you just feel something that's hard to put into words, it’s something you really have to experience for yourself. I’ve owned plenty of off-the-rack suits over the years, but nothing compares to the fit, feel, and craftsmanship of what Zahir creates. After my first bespoke 3-piece suit, I was back almost immediately to start designing the next-it’s honestly addictive. I got a ridiculous number of compliments on the suit. Beyond the quality, Zahir is just a great guy to work with. Down-to-earth, incredibly knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about his craft. The shop has a massive selection of fabrics, linings, buttons, and custom options to suit any style. Fantastic experience overall, and I’ll definitely keep coming back for more bespoke from Zahir.

I especially appreciated how he explained why certain fabrics were better suited for our specific event conditions. From composition and fabric weight to how the threads were woven, Zahir broke down the technical details in a way that gave me peace of mind. Since our wedding will take place in warm Caribbean weather, he made sure my suit would look sharp while still keeping me comfortable, which reassured me that I was in excellent hands. On top of that, the way he shared where the fabrics and materials were sourced from, and how some even tied into my own cultural background, added another layer of meaning and value that made the suit feel even more personal and special. When I went to pick up my suit, I was delighted with the result. It fit perfectly right away, no alterations needed, and every detail felt intentional. Zahir even went the extra mile by advising me on how to properly care for the suit: from the right way to fold it, to how to rest the jacket over a chair without damaging the inner canvas or stretching the fabric. He was also a genuinely warm host, and the casual conversations we shared during each visit made the whole experience feel comfortable and enjoyable. The shop itself also made the experience feel special, with a warm welcome both times I visited, complete with sparkling water, coffee, or whiskey, which added to the celebratory feeling of preparing for such an important day. Overall, it was a true five-star experience from start to finish, and I’ll be happy to return in the future whenever I need another custom suit.
