So much fun! Good workout and lots of fun zip lines. Our guide Sam was professional and made sure we knew the ropes. (Pun intended)

Lindsay, this review made us smile.

We're glad you had such a great time on the course and got to enjoy both the physical challenge and the zip lines along the way. One thing we work hard to create is an experience that's fun, active, and approachable whether it's your first time on a ropes course or you're already comfortable at height. We'll make sure Sam sees your kind words too. Thanks again for spending part of your adventure with us here in Hurricane. We hope we'll see you back at The Ropes the next time you're looking for a fun outdoor challenge near Zion and Sand Hollow!

Best date night ever!
Reply from The Ropes of Southern Utah 2026.06.02
Jordan, we absolutely love hearing this. When people think about date night, they usually picture dinner and a movie. We love giving couples something a little more memorable. There's just something different about tackling obstacles together, cheering each other on, and sharing an adventure you’ll actually talk about long after it's over. Thanks for spending your time with us here in Hurricane, and we hope we'll see you back for another adventure the next time you're looking for a unique date night near Zion and Sand Hollow.

This is the best Ropes Course ever!! I find it interesting that some courses you have to do the challenge, and others you can cheat and use the beam. Its very fun and the employees are very helpful and kind!
Reply from The Ropes of Southern Utah 2026.05.05
That means a lot, thank you! We built the high ropes course so people can challenge themselves at their own pace. Some days you want to go full send, other days that balance beam is your best friend 😂
Really glad our team took good care of you too. Safety and making sure everyone feels comfortable up there is huge for us.
Hope we see you back in Hurricane for another round soon.

Had so much fun at this place! Everything felt very safe. Fun for all skill levels and ages! We were super impressed with everything!
Reply from The Ropes of Southern Utah 2026.04.08
Julie! Thanks for the awesome 5 star review!

Hearing you guys felt safe the whole time matters a lot. A high ropes course only works if people trust the gear, the setup, and the crew, especially when you’ve got different ages and skill levels climbing together. We’ve put a ton into the safety systems and training out here in Hurricane, so families and first timers can just focus on having a good time instead of worrying about it.

Love that you were impressed with the whole experience. That’s exactly how a day at an adventure park near Zion should feel. Come back and tackle the next level soon.

The staff was amazing. The course was fun and easy to navigate. The zip line over the building was my favorite part.
Reply from The Ropes of Southern Utah 2026.03.31
Ranger, that zip line over the building gets a lot of people. It’s hard not to grin the whole way down. I’m really glad the course felt easy enough to navigate too! We’ve worked hard to make the high ropes course here in Hurricane super challenging but still smooth and safe for first timers.

Our crew takes a lot of pride in walking people through it so you can focus on having fun instead of figuring out gear. That’s exactly how a zip line experience near Zion should feel.

Next time if you're looking for fun things to do come back and run it again!

Enjoying this place today was a highlight of our spring break. We had the honor of meeting the wonderful family that runs this place. Cannot imagine better hospitality. Our daughter made friends for the whole day with one of the owners daughters. The facilities are immaculate and the ropes course is the best organized set up I’ve ever seen. If that wasn’t enough, they added a mini donut shop, a yummy custard option, awesome video game and VR, an Axe throwing venue, a really good Italian inspired steakhouse with a full bar! Oh and a full simulator for golf and other sports. Can’t be more grateful for a wonderful day spent here at The Ropes of Southern Utah, you made forever patrons and ambassadors, we will recommended to anyone coming to the area. Till next time.

Thanks so mixing Ryan, that means so much to all of us! Our daughter was thrilled to have also made a friend, and she keeps asking when you'll be coming back! Thanks for sharing your spring break with us, and we really hope we'll see you guys again!

Angel was our guide and she was the best! She was very friendly, thoughtful, and helpful. She knew her job and executed it very well. The custard was to die for and the donuts are well worth it! Anyone going to visit the ropes course in St George Utah needs to ask for Angel to be their guide!!!😁
Reply from The Ropes of Southern Utah 2026.03.31
Thanks Dan! Angel is awesome and is going to love reading this.

She really does take her role seriously, especially when it comes to keeping things safe and making sure everyone feels comfortable up there on the ropes course. That mix of friendly and dialed in is exactly what we look for in our guides here in St. George.

And thanks for the shoutout for the custard and donuts! Not everyone expects great treats after a high ropes and zip line session, but it kind of seals the deal.

Next time you’re back, we’ll make sure Angel knows she’s got a fan club waiting. Come back anytime if you're looking for something fun to do in Hurricane!

We had an awesome experience at this ropes course! The staff was friendly, professional, and made sure everyone felt safe and confident before getting started. The courses were well-designed, recently updated, and offered a great mix of challenges.
Reply from The Ropes of Southern Utah 2026.03.23
Garrett, this is awesome to hear. The safety side of the ropes course is something we take really seriously, so hearing you felt confident getting started means a lot. We’ve put a ton into updating the course layouts too, trying to keep that balance where it’s fun but still pushes people a bit. Glad you came out and got after it, hope we see you back here in Hurricane again soon. If you’re back around Zion and looking for something fun to do, come see us again.

Great challenge for the whole family! Multiple levels of courses for beginners to double black diamon level experts. They trained us on the safety cables and helped our family when the children out paced the parents. Thank you so much for a great memory to put the cherry on top of our trip to Utah.
Reply from The Ropes of Southern Utah 2026.03.23
Jessica, we're SO glad to hear you guys had such a great time! Your family was so fun to have on course and we look forward to you guys coming again!

The part about the kids outpacing the parents happens more than you’d think and it always makes it more fun to watch haha. Glad the safety training helped you guys feel dialed in so you could just enjoy the course.

If you’re ever back around Zion and looking for zip lines near you, come back and see us.

So....we did not get to do the ropes course due to high winds but we were not disappointed. This place is awesome. We did axe throwing. There was an arcade game room AND a full size simulation game room. The kids had a blast. When we got hungry, there is a phenomenon restaurant upstairs, Touch of Tuscany Italian Steakhouse. We had dip, soup, pasta, burgers, fries and dessert. Then there is also a Doughnuttery in the building. We got doughnuts, custard and Italian ice. We were only supposed to be here 2 hours. We have been here for almost 4 hours and we are thinking about leaving.....eventually, unless we find another gem in this building and we stay another 2 hours. Great experience. Highly recommend.
Reply from The Ropes of Southern Utah 2026.03.18
This is exactly the kind of experience we love to see—thank you! 🙌 Even without the ropes course, you guys went all in and made the most of everything: axe throwing, arcade games, great food, and finishing it off with doughnuts and custard… that’s a full day done right.

Spending twice as long as you planned is honestly the best compliment we can get. We’re glad the kids had a blast and that you discovered so much in one visit.

Next time, we’ll make sure you get up on the ropes too!💪

Cute place, my 7 and 9 year old enjoyed the first 3 levels of the rope course. We came right at off season I believe as they are renovating a restaurant and such, but the doughnuts and ice cream were wonderful and friendly staff everywhere. I imagine at some point this place gets super busy but when we arrived we were the only guests there for many hours (Saturday afternoon, non holiday weekend). The third level of the course was a wee bit tough for my short 7 year old, but she managed to get all the way through.

Thanks so much for the awesome review, and that your 7 year old is a sweet 'lil power house! Today was the first day of our opening for the spring, and we just finished up our zip lines, and our Italian Steakhouse, Touch of Tuscany, opens up on Monday, March 9th. Hopefully you guys can come back and enjoy with us again!

Have tried booking with them two separate times now a year apart. Horrible communication both times. Allowing people to book on dates they aren’t open and not responding to calls or emails to make sure they were open those days. Exact same thing happened both times. Very unfortunate.
Reply from The Ropes of Southern Utah 2026.03.08
We're so sorry you had that experience! We reviewed our communications see that we reached out to you 4 separate times but weren't able to get ahold of you until shortly before you left this review, I believe, when it was discovered that you were unfortunately able to schedule a time when we weren't open. We've been dealing with some significant difficulties with our phones system and were finally able to switch over to a new carrier as of 4 days ago, and we're really hoping this change will resolve the poor communication experience you had. We want to ensure everyone has a terrific experience and sincerely hope you're willing to give us a 3rd chance to make things right!

We booked this place for 10 people for an event we had. The website claimed they were open so we paid them and then one week before the event we saw on their instagram that they would be closed the whole rest of that month for construction. No notice or anything. I emailed the company and called 3 times. Haven’t heard anything back. Horrible customer service. The website also makes no sense as it asks for number of adults and children participants. I booked it for 3 adults (people over 18 that were attending) and 7 children (the people under 18) again I later found out that adult meant “non participant”- not listed anywhere on the website by the way. Then when I tried contacting them to add the “children” to our package we again got no communication or help. Would not recommend for events.

We're so sorry you had the experience you did! We were rennovating and updating our course for all of January and February, and unfortunately it appears your reservation fell through the cracks, as we contacted everyone who had a reservation on our systems report about the closure. We supplied you a refund, and trust that it came through appropriately, and per our phone records called you back multiple times without getting ahold of anyone. We apologize for the website confusion, and the differences between the included birthday package and regular admission have been clarified, hopefully to to everyone's satisfaction. We have updated our course to now include ziplines and a kid's course, as well as our Italian Steakhouse and hope you'll be willing to give us another chance to impress you!

We did the simulation rooms, got doughnuts, and did the ropes course over 2 days. The simulation room was fun. We tried a few of the games. Some were less accurate picking up the ball motion, but we are not serious so we still had a lot of fun. The ropes course was very nice. We have done several over the years in Mexico and the US. This one is still new so the gear is clean and nice. We got to go on all the levels. The obstacles were fun. (The gloves could use a cleaning - smelly) There were 2 young adults working each night who were friendly and helpful!

Such a unique experience and so much fun. Really wish they had more methods to get up and down. When it's crowded, the two sections of stairs get really backed up with up AND down traffic, and all you can do is wait. It would also be really cool to have a rapel down from the top which would not only be fun, but also help traffic. However, regardless of that, it's still awesome and for 2025 (when we went) the prices are incredibly reasonable. We paid $30 per person. Feel like everywhere else would charge another $30 to rent a harness and force you to buy their gloves, these guys didn't, it's all included... That's a big deal since everywhere else kids want to guy they find ways to nickel and dime you at every turn. Would recommend to anyone who wants to get the kids outside. They all had a blast. And lots of opportunities to playfully tease the kids if you want. We live a few hours away and will definitely return.

Thank you so much for the review and the insight! We've got an epic plan to address the bottleneck of the spiral staircase, and it involves completing our zip lines... Our plan is to have it all squared away by March, so please come back and give us some more recommendations!
