Our situation wasn’t straightforward — we’re limited company directors rather than PAYE, and despite being able to comfortably afford the repayments, getting a lender to “play ball” took real persistence. Add in my husband’s age and the fact he was technically a first-time buyer, and it became a long road… nearly two years in total.

I've remortgaged several times and dealt with banks direct and brokers. Tina was by far the best experience we've had. The onboarding process and collation of all the forms was really easy and whilst our discovery session was comprehensive Tina very quickly understood what we were after and delivered a range of options very quickly. We will be straight back when our deal needs looking at again and I've already recommended Tina to friends and family.

My journey with The mortgage mum started on Instagram while scrolling, I was so helpless believing I was going to loose my house due to divorce. Even had it on the market accepting I couldn’t afford to buy my ex out. Tina was just my “I know it’s not possible but let me give it a last shot so I know I tried everything” but I didn’t have much hope. From the first contact Tina was so positive and nothing was too much for her, she filled me with hope as I was honestly not optimistic. Tina worked tirelessly in her time off, weekends, evenings as she knew I was running out of time, she kept me informed and explained each steps and made sure I understood everything.
Not only she got me a great deal, she kept checking in while the solicitors worked to finalise until the very end. She is the best mortgage broker anyone could have.
It’s still feels unreal.

I am 100% sure that without Tina, I wouldn't have been able to buy my flat. Since I first got in touch with her in 2023 to see if buying was a possibility (it wasn't!), Tina has stayed in touch until I was in a position to buy, and made sure I was being realistic about what I could afford. Throughout the 7 months it took for my mortgage to complete, she kept an eye on mortgage rates and managed to get me two reductions on my payments. As a solo first-time buyer who didn't have a single clue about buying a property, Tina has been so incredibly helpful, I couldn't recommend her more.
As first-time buyers, we couldn’t have asked for a better mortgage broker than Tina. Tina was an absolute god send. When I first approached her at the start of the year the task of taking over the mortgage for my family home (after separation) seemed like an impossibility. I am self employed and work part-time and it was looking really bleak. Tina gave me a list of tasks to work through to increase my chances of securing my mortgage alone. Three months later I went back to her having completed the tasks and I was then told I would be able to secure a mortgage in excess of my needs! She essentially held my hand through a process that had seemed so overwhelming and scary and she made it all so simple. Once I had my mortgage offer she still checked in every now and then whilst I was waiting for it to go through. Buying my first property at 47 was daunting enough, until I discovered Tina. I first reached out to her 9 months ago and once we were ready to go I made contact again. She remembered our early conversations and advised us like a friend on how to proceed. I could contact her with any issue I had and would receive friendly and encouraging advice at every stage. Tina was incredibly helpful and I would recommend her to anyone. To start with she ran me through budgetting for absolutely everything to determine what I could afford, and then came through with a mortgage which worked for me. During conveyancing delays, Tina was still working on my behalf by reapplying for mortgages as interest rates came down. Buying my first flat was stressful in so many ways, but having Tina as my broker was comfortably the best and least stressful part of the experience.
