Very friendly, really quick and efficient but very accommodating I called at 4pm as my top lock was jammed due to a broken key and they got to me within the hour.
They also took a look at my other lock just to check it was ok.
Hopefully won't have issues with my lock again but if I did I'll definitely be using their services again
Charging people £500 plus VAT (so £600) to free them from a locked room is extortionate. It takes about 10 minutes of work, so even with driving time it's at most an hour. The person locked in may not have a choice, if they have no other way to get out, and The Lock Specialist Ltd exploits that to charge ridiculous amounts of money.
Edit: Of course they would accuse me of giving a fake review and report me to Google, how else can they keep this fabricated 5 star rating? Save your money and go with a company that charges realistic prices.
Additional edit in response: You can say that your fees reflect the quality of your service all you like. £600 is extortionate when it is the fee charged to free someone from a locked room, regardless of the time. A competitor did the same work for £150, and at the same time. Would you like me to have sat in the bathroom until 8am before getting help?
At the end of the day, you can do what you want. I'm just pointing out that, especially during a cost of living crisis, this is the equivalent of setting up a water shop in a desert and charging £100 because you have "premium water".

We appreciate that £495 + VAT is a significant fee. However, this rate applies specifically to emergency attendance between 12am and 8am. This charge would not normally be quoted before midnight, unless the job requires specialist expertise or the property is outside our standard operating area.
Your review also does not mention the time at which you contacted us, which is a key piece of information and important context for anyone reading your comments.

However, we can confirm that the company you dealt with was not ours. You have confused us with one of the rogue locksmith companies we actively campaign against. These businesses use misleading advertising and unrealistically low prices to attract customers before dramatically increasing their charges.
We have never advertised locksmith services for £49. Our prices start from £149 + VAT for emergency call-outs during normal business hours, and we always provide clear, upfront pricing before any work begins.
Unfortunately, many of these companies appear at the top of Google through sponsored adverts and use generic names such as “The Lock Specialist” to make customers believe they are contacting our established, 5-star rated business. These are simply trading aliases used to hide their true identity.
We pride ourselves on providing honest, professional and transparent locksmith services. While we sympathise with your experience, we can assure you it was not with our company. We encourage you to report the rogue company to Trading Standards and Google to help protect others.

We had a fantastic experience with Mace and Eser. From start to finish they were professional, friendly, and incredibly helpful. Our house is very old, which made the lock replacement more complicated than expected, but they took the time to explain everything, worked through the challenges with patience, and did an excellent job.
Communication was brilliant throughout, they kept us updated, arrived when they said they would, and were always kind and approachable. Nothing felt like too much trouble, and they genuinely cared about making sure everything was done properly.
It’s so refreshing to find tradespeople who are not only highly skilled but also such lovely people. We couldn’t be happier with the service and would recommend Mace and Eser without hesitation. Thank you both!
