I truly cannot understand how anybody could give this place a good review. First off, it is no longer a restaurant; it is now a bar that closes at 8:00 p.m. and offers no food, so ignore any prior reviews mentioning the restaurant. The rooms to let are miniscule and very aged. There is literally nowhere to sit other than the bed. Yes, you read that right, no chair anywhere in the room. So we thought we would go downstairs and play cards in the lobby. Nope, not an option. Once the bar closes, it is locked up with no access for guests. So literally there is nowhere in the building to sit after 8:00 p.m. other than your double bed. Avoid this place at all costs.

Outstanding breakfast Rooms were clean and bed comfortable. Was a bit stuffy as hot even with window open. Shower was excellent and they had good products. Welcome was pleasant and clear information. 24 hour shop nearby. Excellent location to the Wrexham ground and pubs and bars. Breakfast was really good quality and very generous portions. Strongly recommend you include in your booking.

Great staff, clean, quiet and amazing location Pros: The location wasn’t too far of a walk from the train station and into town. Even though I was early, the gentleman at reception checked me and helped me get settled. Then as I was going up to my room, the cleaning staff helped me with my luggage and find my room. The room was the perfect size for a lone traveller like myself and it suited my needs perfectly. In addition, the gentleman that had helped me check in wasn’t afraid of saying “hi” when I saw him in town the next. Plus, he was awesome at helping me get a taxi to the train station and conversing with me as we waited for the taxi to arrive. I only wished I had asked him his name. Cons: That breakfast wasn’t included or offered to prebook at check-in.

Excellent Location for Touring Pros: A great location! Wrexham is a great place to stay because it is so convenient to historic sites like Chirk Castle, Erddig Hall, and the Pontcysillte Aqueduct. The Lemon Tree is kind of a restaurant with rooms; its a popular breakfast/brunch venue. So we really did not have much interaction with staff. The rooms were quiet. Parking is available as advertised, but it's best if you're driving a compact car to be able to utilize the lot. Cons: The very narrow space through which a car must pass to enter the parking lot.)

A very pleasant hotel The Lemon Tree Hotel is set in a lovely building. I stayed in the upstairs room number five which had a comfortable double bed and a well appointed ensuite with shower. There was ample storage space for clothes. There was tea, coffee and bottled water in the room which was a nice touch. The room was very warm - perhaps a bit too warm if anything. There was a delightful view of someone's back yard too. I booked "room only" but elected to pay extra for breakfast. It should be noted that the breakfast was more of a "cafe style" arrangement. In other words, you are given a menu containing individually priced items. I had the full Welsh breakfast and a pot of tea. It was very good and served with a smile. The hotel is about 10 minutes walk to Wrexham General Railway Station and about 15 minutes walk to The Racecourse Ground. Overall I had a very pleasant stay and would certainly return one day.

Lovely building and very close to town centre, all the staff are lovely - friendly and helpful. Our room was ok but not as clean as it should have been, only 1 set of towels on arrival, shower gel was empty. All got resolved though as soon as I requested. We hung up our towels to re-use but they were changed each day. Free bottled water provided each day and good tea and coffee set up. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was amazing - plenty of choices and really well done. Menu only, no buffet for juice or pastries or any extras but it was all prepared fresh and served quickly with generous portions. ☺Staff & service ☹Cleanliness
