To say we are delighted with this outcome would be the understatement of the decade! Right from the get go we were impressed with Gez and his obvious passion for what he does...He was very responsive through the whole process and helped us tweak our design ideas, which resulted in a much better realisation of our initial thoughts. We have engaged with all sorts of bespoke craftsmen over the years but Gez tops them all by a material margin! Once again many thanks we are so delighted with our new front door.

The Handmade Door Company recently made and fitted a new stable door and double glazed window frame to my house in Alfold. Gez was knowledgeable and very helpful when advising me of my options and Fraser was clean and tidy when fitting. I would not hesitate to recommend the company to make and fit your doors. I am delighted with my new door and feel very safe, secure and warmer in my home and was very happy to support a small independent business.

Gez created a fantastic new front door to match the existing one, which is now really air tight and keeps the heat in. He was a real pleasure to work with - doing his best to fit within tight timeframes, and his support after the fitting has been absolutely superb, answering questions, sorting out extra keys, and offering advice. Highly recommended.

We are absolutely thrilled with our new accoya front door. Gez spent a lot of time with us up front making sure every detail was considered, from the wood selection, to the style and design of the door, to the door furniture. Gez presented many options and helped us choose the beautiful door installed and painted expertly this week, keeping us fully informed throughout. He was so knowledagble and passionate, talking often about the workshop and precision hand crafted processes. The whole team including the installer, Fraser and the painter Kevin were exceptional and we would highly recommend them. Perfection !

Gez provided a personalised service, takes great pride in his work and produced a very high quality and product. His skill is clear to see. We could not be more pleased. If anything was not quite right (in our case the initial oak colour otherwise it would have been 5 stars), he was totally receptive and put it right, whatever it took to ensure we were delighted with the end result, which we are. Absolutely blown away by The Handmade Door Company. From start to finish, the whole experience was spot on. Gez worked with us on the design and genuinely took the time to make sure every detail was perfect. No rushing, no cutting corners — he really went the extra mile to bring the idea to life. The final result? Unreal. The door looks incredible — my wife is obsessed with it, and even our builders highlighted the quality. Proper craftsmanship. Fraser came to fit the door and was just as impressive: professional, polite, and unbelievably clean and tidy. You can tell he takes pride in his work. If you’re thinking about getting a handmade door, don’t look anywhere else. These guys are different level.

Not only is Gez so obviously very accomplished at his craft, but his enthusiasm and focus on the task coupled with a creative eye and fierce attention to detail shine throughout the process from initial planning to ultimate delivery of the finished product to ensure that everything is absolutely ‘spot on’. I’ve been absolutely delighted with all the work he has done and at a more personal level find Gez to be a straightforward, genuine and very likeable person to do business with. Go elsewhere at your peril!

Gez, made us a new front door after a long search for suitable craftsmen. He was very happy to listen to our ideas and came forward with valuable and helpful suggestions. He is a craftsman whose attention to detail is exemplary and the skills are clearly evident in the finished product. We are delighted with our new door which fits perfectly the style of the house. The photos show the door prior to final painting with just a primer coat applied. The frame and door were expertly fitted by Fraser. We would highly recommend the Handmade Door Company.
