We have been waiting for nine months to have our shutters correctly installed. We chose this company as they were recommended by Brackenwood Windows. They came to us in July 2025 to measure up. We paid for their top of range shutters with express delivery and heard nothing from them again. Having chased several times for a delivery date they were finally delivered in December and of the five windows we ordered shutters for, only one fitted and even that is not correctly fitted. What we had not realised is that the shutters are ordered from China so obviously if a mistake is made with measurements we have to wait another 10 weeks for delivery (quite how measurement mistakes can be made when laser measurements were taken by a person who’s full time job it is to do so, is beyond me). We are now in May still with no delivery. We haven’t once been updated with regards to delivery timeframes without having to chase ourselves first. We have asked, I believe reasonably under the circumstances, for some kind of discount for huge delay in delivery, but that question has not been responded to and we still await installation. To add to the problems the beading around our brand new windows was damaged during fitting, this may or may not be rectified during the final installation, if it ever happens, but surely this should not have happened in the first place. I have held off for nine months from leaving this review in the hope that the company could resolve matters without me having to make this sorry story public. But this timeframe is simply too long to wait with no window coverings, no forthcoming updates and damage during installation. We have had to tape paper to the windows as the temporary paper blinds we were supplied also fell down the same day they were fitted. I cannot understand how, when shutters is the main item this company sells, how this could go so wrong. To update this review, the second installation was an even worse disaster than the first. None of the shutters fit and the actual fit of them was even more out of kilter than the first attempt. A refund was requested and received, but to add further insult to injury they would not come and remove the shutters for a month so we had to employ another firm to take them out and have our window installer take the debris away. There is absolutely no excuse for this situation. Simply shocking. We have had to order again from a different supplier who were astonished at the way the shutters were installed and the service we had received.

Dear Joanna, we would firstly like to apologise that this issue has been ongoing. On this occasion, went against our own policy of not measuring for shutters until after replacement windows had been fitted due to the risk that shutters may not fit or align with the new windows - ironically we did this to reduce the overall waiting time for you.

We worked off the window manufacturer's drawing. When we came to fit the shutters we had issues on 3 windows but were able to fit 2. We offered to plane the frames by 3mm on the day which would have meant we could have fitted all the shutters and achieved a perfect finish, but you declined that option due to warranty concerns which we assured would still be in place, but you wanted remake rather than alteration, which we agreed to at our cost.

We submitted a remedial to the shutter manufacturer and expected the remedial to be in production. Unfortunately, they had drawings to send us for approval and these were not sent. We therefore erroneously expected the new shutters to be in production.

This situation is definitely not the level of service we look to provide and we do apologise that we have not managed the situation as professionally as we should have.

We have offered you an installation date and we look forward to receiving your confirmation.

I am so over the moon with the shutters. We had them fitted throughout the house and they have been an absolute blessing in this heat. The team were professional and friendly from the beginning to end. The shutters are very good quality and cannot fault them at all. We were moving into a refurbed property and the team measured up before we moved in and even fitted temporary blinds for us which was a welcomed surprise. They are great for adjusting privacy and heat and they do not darken any rooms and still allow plenty of light to flood the rooms when need be but also allow for black out in the evening. Absolutely no regrets, well worth the money and they look stunning!
