What a breath of fresh air! What an amazing place! The grape stands alone in Ventura (really anywhere on the central coast) for live music. A true heartbeat for jazz music. More importantly the lost art of true customer service makes a resurgence at the grape. The apparent captain of the ship (Tiffanie) makes such a strong impression, that it gives hope to bar establishments everywhere. After shaking the vapor of Tiffanie and landing back on earth you also realize that the music being played here is some of the best in the world. Insert the captains husband Adam. To say that Adam is the pulse of live music on the west coast is a gross understatement. Want proof? Just recently booked back to back weekends with Danny Carey (Tool). That my friends is juice and a respect words cannot convey. Just a simple understanding between Adam and the musicians that are awaiting the invite to just play. The truth awaits all that haven’t become addicted to this amazing place!

My wife and I attended a jazz concert at The Grape. The staff were friendly and the venue was spacious and artsy. No food, but most patrons were enjoying drinks. $20 cover charge.

Bravo to "The Grape" for hosting a fabulous performance last night, "Trane Stories". It was an homage on his 99th Birthday that would have made him proud! Brilliant words from Adam on "A Love Supreme" and Trane's inspiration to us all. The music and performers....JUST INCREDIBLE! BRAVO!!
Great, quite potent expresso martini made by MC. My husband enjoyed the PB&J Old Fashioned as well. They prefer to source spirits locally. The music was good, dancing room, friendly atmosphere. First time fun even at 6 pm on a Saturday. We'll return for the full evening experience soon.
