I honestly can’t put into words how amazing Michelle is.
She didn’t just look after my cat, she genuinely cared for him like he was her own. The fact that he was in a proper home, around a family, instead of in a cattery or a cage meant everything to us. She sent regular updates, photos. I feel like my cat was more relaxed and Michelle’s house than he is at mine!
When we got him back, he was so relaxed, so happy, and completely himself which says it all.

When we first found him, he was in very poor condition, but she helped nurse him back to health and stayed involved every step of the way, keeping me updated and making sure he got the care he needed. Michelle looked after my bunny Meeko and every stay was perfect. I was really nervous at first because it was my first time ever using a pet sitter in Dubai, but she immediately put me at ease and patiently listened to all my concerns.
Her home is honestly bunny heaven. She sent the cutest photos and updates and was always more accommodating than I even expected. After the first stay I stopped asking for daily updates because I felt completely confident Meeko was happy and comfortable. Every time he came home healthy, relaxed, and spoiled. 🩷
You can genuinely tell Michelle loves animals and especially rabbits. It’s rare to find someone in Dubai who understands small pets this well.

We were introduced to Michelle through a highly respected veterinarian in Dubai who trusts her with his own cats, which immediately gave us confidence. Even so, we took our time before booking. From Leo’s very first stay, it was clear this was not a typical cattery or commercial boarding facility.
The Cat Retreat provides a private, calm, and structured cat boarding experience in Dubai. Leo settled in quickly, his routine was carefully maintained, and the entire environment felt peaceful and intentionally managed. Nothing felt rushed or overwhelming. When we picked him up, he was relaxed, confident, and completely himself. It genuinely felt as though he had been staying somewhere familiar rather than away from home.
Over the past two years we have returned several times, and the level of care has remained consistently exceptional. Michelle has an intuitive understanding of feline behavior that cannot be taught. The way cats respond to her speaks for itself. Her one household at a time approach creates a quiet, stress free setting that makes a noticeable difference, particularly for sensitive or anxious cats.

As first time parrot parents, we were incredibly grateful for how much time Michelle spent guiding us and explaining things along the way. She helped us understand the benefits of feeding chop, what goes into a balanced mix, and why certain ingredients are important for parrots. Each morning she prepared Oliver’s breakfast with fresh vegetables, grains, and healthy additions like chia seeds, and took the time to explain how these support feather health, digestion, and overall wellbeing. That level of care and education gave us real peace of mind.
We boarded our green cheek conure, Oliver, with Michelle and had a truly wonderful experience from start to finish. Even though she is known for her cat care, what stood out immediately was the separate, dedicated room she has created specifically for parrots and birds. She only accepts one household at a time, and Oliver had his own private bird room with large windows and plenty of natural light, which made a huge difference to how comfortable and confident he felt.
During the day, Oliver was able to be out and move around freely rather than being confined to a cage, which was incredibly important to us. In the evenings, Michelle gently settled him back into his cage inside the room for the night, exactly as we had requested, so his routine stayed familiar and stress free.
It was clear throughout his stay that Michelle genuinely understands birds and their individual needs. Oliver was calm, relaxed, and clearly very well cared for. Finding someone who offers this level of personalised, one household bird care is rare, and we would absolutely trust her again. We highly recommend Michelle to anyone looking for safe, private parrot or bird boarding.

They spent their days relaxing by the windows, exploring the cozy nooks, and climbing the play structures, clearly feeling safe and at ease.
