Honestly the best experience shopping for a wedding dress. I was so so so nervous at first going in I knew a rough idea I wanted, but couldn’t exactly picture myself in a dress. Lisa was so helpful and knowledgeable and knew exactly what dress and vibe I was going for. I’ve never been so fussed over and tended to in an appointment honestly an amazing experience and exactly what I wanted going wedding dress shopping. I’m absolutely obsessed with my dress and really feel like a princess!! So excited to wear it next year. You couldn’t be in better hands seeing Lisa ❣️

What a delightful experience at The Bridal Affair. A huge thank you to Lisa who was brilliant; she is clearly very knowledgeable but also welcoming and warm. You feel as though you’re in safe hands with her!
Her shop is set up beautifully across two floors full of gorgeous gowns in all different styles. We began our appointment by discussing my dress preferences to narrow down options for me to try on. All 3 dresses I tried were great options and I quickly found my dress — the one that felt like “me”.
Lisa then offered helpful insights into whether a veil would work or other hair accessories that would match the dress as an alternative, but in a way that was genuinely helpful (ie not upselling).
It’s also worth noting that all dress sizes and budgets seemed to be accommodated for. Essentially I think it’s everything you could hope for from a wedding shopping experience! I highly recommend.

I'll be forever grateful to Lisa for making the start of my dress journey so positive, and helping me find my perfect gown.
Arriving with a few preconceived ideas about bridal boutiques, I wasn't really expecting to love my appointment.
In reality I found Lisa very professional, likeable and knowledgeable. She totally put me at ease and took time to understand what I wanted and gently guide me and I ended up thoroughly enjoying my time with her.
Lisa is not about selling clients the most expensive dress. She's clearly committed to getting you into a gown that makes you feel like a queen, regardless of the price tag. I had a fairly decent budget and had fun trying on a variety of dresses. In the end, what I chose during my second appointment back with a friend (not pictured) was not the costliest gown but the right one for me and I adore it.
Will be back for an accessory or two! 💜

I had the most wonderful experience with Lisa when visiting The Bridal Affair. From the very beginning when I walked into the store she made me feel at ease and comfortable! This was my first bridal shop I had been to and hadn’t tried on any wedding dresses before. I had a few ideas about what I was looking for and a couple dresses I wanted to try on. Lisa listened to these as well as using her expert knowledge to select dresses she thought I’d love.
Lisa was extremely helpful, and non judgmental, the perfect environment when looking for your dress!! She gave her honest opinions about dresses I tried on which I appreciated! After trying on a few dresses, I still wasn’t sure, Lisa decided to pull another dress which I loved immediately and ended up saying yes to!
A few weeks later, after I had ordered my dress I actually had some doubts about my dress (now I realise these were not needed), I just wanted everything to perfect for my special day. Upon contacting Lisa about this, I was worried that I’d feel silly for even suggesting this. Lisa didn’t make me feel like this at all!! Lisa was on holiday at the time and even then she went above and beyond to reassure me that my dress was the one. I booked another appointment to come into store to try the dress on again, we tried a couple others on and it was evident that I had chosen the right dress the first time around.
Five stars doesn’t seem enough for what Lisa did for me and I can’t thank Lisa enough for this experience! You can tell she really cares about her brides and really wants them to find their dream dress!! Honestly, I will remember this experience for the rest of my life! I am so glad I chose The Bridal Affair and I would recommend her to anyone in a heartbeat! 🩷

I wouldn't recommend to my friends.
I didn't enjoy my time with Lisa at the Bridal Affair. There were certainly positives but the negatives outweighed them.
Pros:
- Great selection of dresses.
- I had two favourites from another shop and she showed me lovely alternatives that shared features but had their own style.
- Disabled access which was hugely appreciated as my Mum is in a wheelchair.
- She was kind enough to let us show up half an hour late to our booking.
- She said lots of nice things once I was in her dresses.
Cons:
- She started the experience with what felt like a lecture on what I had to consider for the big day and, once she'd seen the dresses from the other shop, what I had to consider for my figure. I'm a 31 year old woman who's very familiar with her figure and it felt condescending.
- She spoke badly of the other shop where I'd found two favourites, saying that "if it was my shop, I wouldn't have put you in that dress". Note how that's a fun mix of body shaming and trying to get me to doubt the honesty of the other shop (who I'd loved).
She might come back and say that she tries to be honest with all her brides and that's where the comments came from but to talk badly of another shop ("who's owner I'm such good friends with!") and to try to make me doubt how I looked in a dress I'd felt really good in, is tacky selling practice.
If it were not for the fact that three other shops had made me feel amazing, I would have left feeling insecure.

I do wholeheartedly believe we had such a lovely fun appointment which lasted over 2 hours. I said so many times how gorgeous you had looked in every dress and how difficult a decision it would be for you to decide whichever dress you chose including from my good friend’s shop.
I also asked if you would love to model at my catwalk shows if you were interested so I’m a little baffled how I made you feel insecure. You asked me to send you photographs of the dresses you loved after the appointment of which I did yesterday evening.
I am so sorry you felt this way and apologise, I do hope you fall in love with a dress very soon, your wedding will be amazing! All the best… Lisa x
