I was given an emergency appointment at short notice following a sudden and near-total loss of hearing while far from home. The premises were impressively modern, clean and tidy and my ears and hearing aids were given a thorough examination followed by removal of the wax found to be the main cause of the sudden loss of hearing. Luiz followed that up with a clear and helpful description of the state of my hearing as revealed by his analysis of my ears and current hearing aids. A really satisfactory outcome to a serious problem. I emphasise that I had no prior knowledge of or connection with this audiology practice, but nevertheless received the sort of service nowadays very rare in the field of medicine.
I’d noticed a deterioration in both my dad and uncle’s hearing over the years, but like many people, they were reluctant to get it checked - insisting there was nothing wrong!
I met Carolina at an event earlier this year and was really impressed by her friendly approach, her professional background, and the way she explained how hearing isn’t just about sound - it also affects your relationships and quality of life. I told my dad and uncle about her clinic in Leamington, and to my surprise, they agreed to book a hearing assessment.
Carolina’s assessment was comprehensive, calm and highly professional. She explained every step clearly and delivered the results in a way that was easy to understand and relate to. They both came home raving about the experience, questioning why they hadn’t done it sooner!
What really stood out to me was the shift in how they spoke about their hearing afterwards. Instead of seeing it as an embarrassment or failure or fearful, they now felt empowered. They understood which sounds they found harder to hear and why - and they left knowing exactly what their options are for the future if it deteriorated further.
I can’t recommend Carolina enough for anyone experiencing hearing changes (or supporting someone who is). She made what could have been a daunting experience feel reassuring, informative and even uplifting.
Highly recommended service, very professional, it was clearly explained what the processes were, I was shown pictures of my ears (before and after), also had hearing tests done, and a follow up appointment 4 weeks later to check again and was shown graphs of the improvement in my hearing - very satisfied with the whole procedure.
We had such a great experience at The Audiology Expert in Haverhill. My 5yr old daughter was really nervous after a previous ENT appointment where she was too scared to have her ears unblocked. Keyla was absolutely amazing - so patient, gentle and reassuring throughout the whole appointment. She made my daughter feel completely comfortable and confident, and managed to get both ears done without any upset. I am so grateful for her kindness and professionalism - highly recommend. What a friendly place to go to. Keyla and Luiz are a lovely couple and make you feel very welcome.
I was a bit concerned about my hearing as I hadn't had my ears checked in a few years. But Luiz explained everything he was doing, showed me inside my ears (🤔) which I'd never seen and explained what I was looking at. The hearing tests were painless and thorough. Luiz put my mind at rest about my hearing, bit of wear and tear, which is to be expected as you get older. He explained my options, was happy with my choice and wasnt at all pushy to sell me anything. I will be back next year!

offices were immaculate, receptionist was friendly and organised and the specialist was very good at talking me through the processes and understanding how to prevent recurrence. perfect service, honestly i cant recommend them enough

I have had wax removal and hearing tests done at The Audiology Expert on 3 separate occasions, being deaf in my left ear means I have to keep on top of both these things for longevities sake and Luiz has always gone above and beyond with the service he has provided.
Natalie at reception is lovely so even if you are unsure whether this is a service you need, I would highly recommend phoning and enquiring.
Long and short is I can’t recommend these guys enough.
