Attitude Advantage was exactly what my teen son needed. He was having such a hard time adjusting to a new high school — all of his friends were at his old school, and every day when I picked him up, I could see how upset he was. It absolutely broke my heart. I tried giving him advice, encouraging him to talk to new people — but he wouldn’t listen and wanted to figure it out his own way, which wasn’t working. I started researching online and came across Attitude Advantage, and I’m so glad I did. Within a month, they completely turned things around. Honestly, it felt like a miracle. His coaches, Jesse and Anela, worked with him in such a fun and supportive way. They helped him step outside his comfort zone and taught him tools for making friends and feeling confident again. Now he’s a total social butterfly — happy, outgoing, and always getting invited to hang out after school and on weekends. No therapist was able to do what Jesse and Anela did. I can’t thank Attitude Advantage enough for the difference they’ve made in his life (and mine).

I reached out the attitude advantage because I saw my son distracted,, low confidence and afraid to grow, being part of this program gave him self confidence, maturity and guidelines on how to face challenges in the near future. I wanted to share our positive experience with Jesse and TAAP. Our son was going through a rough patch in his adolescence where we were starting to get concerned about his negative thoughts, angry outbursts and lack of confidence. It felt like it was happening more and more. We chose to look for a teen life coach that could help him navigate through what he was experiencing but also understood the type of kid that he is. Our son has big dreams in sports, and he is working hard to achieve them, but he was also struggling with the mental affect that competitive youth sports can have on kids. The TAAP program was able to provide him with an outlet to express his concerns. And as a former athlete, Jesse was able to connect with him and understand where our son was coming from. The program also provided him with the tools he needed to understand his feelings, break them down and learn to manage them better. It also gave him a point of reflection. The sessions with his coach as well as the weekly group sessions helped to give him perspective and better understanding on how to manage his feelings, and the tools he learned through his sessions helped him to navigate these feelings as well as provide him with a positive outlet. We were happy to see a positive change in our son and his overall attitude and confidence. We are grateful to this program for helping him to forge a happier, more positive path in his life.

Our experience with The Attitude Advantage Program was extremely positive. We had just taken custody of our then 12 year-old grandson. Initially, we had concerns about online therapy, but it proved to be the best choice. Kids these days are used to things being online so it was a platform he was totally comfortable with. The program's flexibility was a major advantage. With a busy schedule, the ability to have sessions from home removed the stress of travel and scheduling. My grandson felt more comfortable opening up in a private environment, which seemed to contribute to his progress. The communication options were also beneficial. The option for messaging and live chat sessions was a great feature. This allowed communication in a way that felt natural, leading to more consistent engagement. The therapist was responsive, compassionate, and skilled at connecting with adolescents. I was most impressed by the program's unique ability to teach my grandson how to deal with issues as they arose, how to predict situations and how to manage them. This is very different than focusing on the "what happened to get me here" and focused more on the, "this is where I am, and how am I going to positively navigate these situations." Both Jesse and the therapist, Lindsey, were great at communicating with me when I had questions, etc. We did follow up with in person counseling only to be told after a few sessions that our grandson already had the tools he needed to cope with issues as they arose. We totally attribute that to the Attitude Advantage Program!

The Attitude Advantage Program was a lifesaver for my daughter. In 7th grade, we were searching for non-traditional ways to support our daughter who was struggling with feelings of belonging with peers, social media, and had become the scapegoat with certain “friends”. We were very concerned about her well-being and ability to deal with her peers. Through TAAP we witnessed her move her energy away from being the underdog to being a leader. After becoming part of the TAAP family, she became the vice president of her 8th grade student council, made varsity cheer in 9th and 10th grade, holds a job, has straight A’s, got her drivers permit, and is someone who can pick out negative behaviors in her peers and chooses to avoid the drama. Our friends and family noticed the remarkable difference in our daughter’s positive growth from despair into self-confidence and passion for her goals. To this day, she continues to check in with the TAAP team on occasion and to connect to this priceless support network. There is so much more to The Attitude Advantage Program than meets the eye! We found this program for our two teenage daughters when we were searching online for something, anything different that could help them through their struggles. We tried traditional talk therapy and DBT classes to address mental health, but for us there was little engagement, a lot of waiting for them to open up, and little family inclusion. Then we found TAAP, and things shifted. There was engagement, there was participation, there was hope, and there was a ton of family involvement in all the right ways. That was very important to us as a family to be able to trust and reconnect. That was one of the best pieces of this program, for us. We are strong again, all of us. Jesse and Lindsey truly are the real deal. They care, they love, they join you on your journey to find light and motivation again, and then they stay with you long after and check in.
