Price is absolutely worth it. I have been coming here for anything half-related for years + referring my friends/family and they never disappoint. Everyone is so social and understanding, and if you’re not absolutely certain about your hair, they will always fix it without a problem. By far the best salon I’ve ever been to.

Looking back at the way we were treated, I'm really unhappy with the services we received. The color washed out of everything but the mid lengths and texts/calls were not returned. We texted Jenna who said to reach out any time. Those texts asking what hair dye was used went unaswered. I had to go to another salon to fix what she messed up. Obviously they needed to know if it was semi permanent black dye or not and we couldn't get the blue to come out. She didn't tone the blonde at all before throwing bright blue on it. We didn't discuss the shade before it went on and I felt like the choice was taken from me. Yet I still tipped her. The woman who washes the hair treated my biracial daughters hair like she had a disease. She made faces constantly. I felt highly uncomfortable the way she was pulling my daughters hair. When I went to gently say something, she snapped at me "I'm not hurting her". Debbie who works the register actually chased us down at the door while it was pouring down rain to say we had to tip the hair washing lady who was extremely rude and lied about washing my daughter's hair 15 times. We tipped absolutely everyone including the hair washing lady. The lady had already left by the time Debbie said this so she poketed the money and said she'd give it to her tomorrow. The price we were told at the beginning of the appointment was not the end price. I really wish I could say better things about this place. I genuinely think Nicole was the only good thing about our appointments. It was Debbie's behavior that led me to leave this review. I try to see the good on everyone but she definitely made us feel taken advantage of. For what it's worth, we did speak with the owner and she was very kind and understanding but at the end of the day, there are more cons than pros. We will be finding somewhere else to go.

I had an exceptional experience at Ambiance Salon in Hewlett and felt compelled to share.
I am very particular about who I trust with my hair, especially when it comes to color. Having had highlights done in the past, I understand the level of skill and attention to detail required. With my birthday coming up this week, I wanted a refreshed look—something subtle, yet noticeable.
After doing my research, I scheduled an appointment at Ambiance Salon and was paired with Jenna. From the moment I sat in her chair, I felt completely at ease. Jenna is not only professional and personable, but truly talented at what she does. She listened carefully to what I was looking for and executed it flawlessly. My highlights came out soft, natural, and exactly what I had envisioned.
The entire experience was seamless. Debbie greeted me warmly upon arrival and made me feel welcome right away. The stylist who completed my blowout also did an excellent job, leaving my hair looking polished and full of life.

I can’t say enough good things about this salon—and especially about Merissa and Sam! ✨
Merissa is an absolute magician when it comes to colour. She always listens carefully to what I want and then goes above and beyond, creating the most beautiful, dimensional colour I’ve ever had. My hair has never looked this vibrant, healthy, and rich in tone. It’s like she just knew exactly what would work for my skin tone and style. Total genius. She's been doing my colour since 2011; a relationship that I cherish and I trust her with my hair through and through. She can literally go from one end of the colour wheel to the other with no hesitation. I've trusted her with all colour from ombre (so 2011) to bright vibrant red, blue, purple, and everything in between. She is the best.
And Sam? A haircut master! I’ve never had someone shape my hair so precisely while still keeping it soft and natural. She gave me a cut that moves beautifully and grows out like a dream. Her attention to detail and genuine care made the experience feel so personalized and luxe. She's super precise and will not let you leave the salon without a 10/10 job.
Between the two of them, I walked out feeling like a new person—confident, fresh, and glowing. If you’re looking for colour that turns heads and a cut that makes you feel like your best self, run (don’t walk) to Merissa and Sam. They're the dream team!

What a fabulous salon! Cutting edge styling with good old-fashioned warmth and caring from all. Immediately introduced to owner Allie who welcomes all customers genuinely. From the front desk staff, including Heather and Debby, along with other friendly faces who were introduced, to all the talented stylists, with a special mention of Linda, whose Calligraphy haircut is probably the best haircut I’ve ever gotten! Thank you! Must also mention their participation in an incredible opportunity for cancer patients, as they are a MONDAYS AT RACINE salon, providing free hair & spa services!

My wife did not have a good experience here. She went to get her hair done for a wedding event and wanted to get hollywood style but it started opening up and did not even stay for an hour.
