We are sorry to learn that, more than a year after this matter was closed, this former client remains dissatisfied with her experience.

Because we are attorneys, our professional and ethical obligations prevent us from publicly discussing the confidential details of a former client’s matter. We can, however, respectfully clarify several factual points in this review. Our firm represented this client for approximately one month, not four months. During that time, the client participated in consultations and had multiple communications with members of our team while we evaluated the matter, her objectives, and the appropriate course of action. Ultimately, we determined that we were not in a position to accomplish the objectives the client was seeking, and the representation ended.

The amount charged for the professional services provided was approximately $1,200, not $1,800. As with all of our matters, charges reflected time actually devoted to the representation, including consultations, review, analysis, and communications. The fact that a pleading was not filed does not mean that no legal work was performed. Our firm will never intentionally file a frivilous pleading.

We also respectfully disagree with the characterization that our team was unresponsive or unprofessional. We strive to communicate candidly with our clients, including when our legal assessment may not be the answer a client hoped to receive. We regret that this former client remembers the experience differently. Understandably, the details are incorrect as the relationship end well over a year ago. We don't know what sparked this hostility as the representation ended mutually. Nevertheless, we sincerely wish her peace and resolution regarding the circumstances that originally brought her to our firm and wish her the very best going forward.
