A blast from the past! A must visit for me when in Budapest, a family tradition going back to the early 1900’s. Before people dined in suits and dresses, now anything goes, like jeans, etc :( As for the food, it was delicious. Our service was good and well scripted. I noticed that all the “old guard” servers were gone. Not sure if this was because we were there on a Sunday or not. Our sever had no clue about wines, hence the 4 stars in service. His comment was ” I don’t drink wine.” We were looking for a Hungarian white wine and he brought over a couple of bottles for us to try that we selected. That solved the problem. I’m always going to return to the Gundel when in Budapest :)

Βρεθήκαμε στο Gudel 2 ζευγάρια για καφέ και γλυκό μετά την επισκέψη μας στα λουτρά Szechenyi.
Όλα ήταν άψογα.
Καταρχήν ο χώρος είναι πανέμορφος εκπέμπωντας ένα αριστοκρατικό στυλ χωρίς όμως να είναι πομπώδες.
Το προσωπικό ευγενέστατο και πρόσχαρο.
Παραγγείλαμε 4 cappuccino και 4 γλυκά.
Όλα ήταν πεντανόστιμα.
Το συνιστώ ανεπιφύλακτα για μία επίσκεψη που μπορεί να συνδυαστεί είτε με τα λουτρά είτε με μία βόλτα στην Πλατεία Ηρώων

Bardzo klimatyczne miejsce. Choć na chwilkę można się przenieść w czasie i poczuć minioną epokę. Wystrój lokalu, obsługa, dania zapewniają niezapomniane wrażenia. Kawa bardzo smaczna, a posiłki rozpływają się w ustach. Polecam spróbować "Samlo".
