Dr Abu-Hana is one of a kind. We first met when no one else believed me about my concerns on my gallbladder. He removed it quickly and my concerns were valid with him. He continued to care for me and proceeded to do another surgery. Feb 2025 I had Gastric Bypass and although it hasn’t been a walk in the park Dr stayed by my side and trusted the process. He probably saved my life in ways I’ll always remember.

I had gastric bypass surgery with Dr. Abou- Hanna in August of 2024. He and his staff are amazing and were super helpful and supportive throughout the process. Would definitely recommend this clinic if you’re looking for weight loss support.

A few years ago, in Cincinnati, Ohio my husband had a bowel blockage. He had to be transported from Oxford Ohio to Cincinati, Ohio to Good Sam. Dr. J had to do a Duodenostomy (look that one up) He had to more of less reroute my husband's plumbing, so to speak. It saved his life. This is a very good physician. Hated to hear when he was leaving Ohio to go to Tennessee. I hope he does well. Very good person!!!

If you are looking for a doctor to make a plan for YOU! This is the man. He takes his time to understand his patients and makes the appropriate plan for you as an individual. I have felt seen and heard at every visit. I am finding success with his guidance. The staff is amazing as well! They get to know you and truly care!

Dr Abou-Hanna and his team are the best! From the very beginning up until my sleeve surgery, the team has been there to help and give encouragement! I am glad I chose my surgery with him and very happy with how my journey is going. I love how I was educated throughout my entire process and still getting educated. He is very easy going and easy to talk with.. NO JUDGEMENT. His confidence in you makes your confidence boost way higher for yourself. Can’t forget about the nutritionist and the classes monthly. Hands down best surgeon and team!

I can't praise "Dr. Abou-Hanna enough. I am 8 days post op, and I feel amazing. I came to Tennessee Style Weight Loss after being turned away from Vanderbilt weight loss because I am a smoker. After going through 8 months of requirements. So I called to see if "Dr. Abou-Hanna would still help me with surgury even though I can not quit smoking. He was willing to work with me, and go over my options, and finally approved for surgury. He ensured i knew the added risks for a smoker. Staff ensured I had all the tools I needed for success. And I'm 8 days out 18 pounds lighter, and I feel great. Recovery has been a Breeze for me. I'm just so thankful I found Tennessee Style Weight Loss and "Dr. Abou-Hanna. Already changed my life and my journey has just begun.

Staff is incredible and Dr Abou-Hanna is phenomenal. This year, he performed an emergency appendectomy on me (which is how I met him) and then went on in another surgery to remove my gallbladder, fix my hiatal hernia, and convert my gastric sleeve to a bypass. I had zero complications and couldn’t have asked for smoother surgeries or outcomes!
