Highly recommend Dr. Smith at Tempe Family Dentistry. I was in a lot of pain with one of my molars. My regular dentist was unavailable. I could not chew anything without severe pain. Dr. Smith was recommended to me so I called and he was able to see me quickly. He was able to fix my misaligned crown, give me medication to relieve the infection and inflammation. I had immediate relief from the constant throbbing and the next day I was able to finally chew soft foods. After several days of being on the medication I was able to chew harder foods. He looks to least costly and effective solutions when other dentists would immediately jump to doing a root canal. He is now my dentist going forward. Also the office staff and dental assistants are fantastic. You can't do better than Tempe Family Dentistry.
My fillings were in very tricky places. The dentists here are really talented and were able to.fix older fillings where other dentists recommended extractions. Very satisfied. Pricing and management of insurance is also top class, enabling savings for customers

Tempe Family Dentistry is a fabulous practice. My husband and I decided to travel 3 hrs to the Valley to find a top notch dentist, and it was absolutely worth the drive. From my first contact with Jennifer on the phone, I had a great feeling about this practice. She is warm, professional and accommodating. Our experience with our hygienists (Karen and Janet) were wonderful. They are both very experienced, gentle and thorough. We agree they are the best ever! Dr Smith impressed us with his enthusiasm and attention to detail during our exams. We feel we are in excellent hands at Tempe Family Dentistry and are excited to have found such a fabulous team to meet our dental needs.

Review Update.
Dr. Smith continues to set the standard for exceptional dental care and today’s appointment proved exactly why I trust him and his team. It was a long appointment, but Dr. Smith was incredibly patient, reassuring, and gentle throughout the entire process. He checked on me often, explained every step, and truly delivered on his promise to keep me comfortable. This treatment is a big investment, but they’ve been very respectful of my budget without ever compromising quality. Jennifer at the front desk even reiterated the same reassurance Dr. Smith gave me at my last visit — showing that they truly stand by their commitments. It’s rare to find a team that combines such skill, honesty, and genuine care. I left today feeling not only confident in the work being done, but sincerely grateful for the kindness behind it!

So far, so good — Dr. Smith and his team truly stand out!
I first visited Dr. Smith about a year after moving to Arizona — that was 7 years ago. I stopped going for a while only because the office was a bit far from where I lived, but recently, I decided to come back. That alone says a lot, considering I’ve tried other dentists closer to me, and none of them came close to the experience I had with Dr. Smith.
I suffer from severe dental anxiety and past trauma, so visiting a dentist is never easy for me. But Dr. Smith’s bedside manner is truly exceptional — calm, patient, and reassuring. He makes me feel completely at ease, which is something I can’t say about many dental professionals. He never makes me feel embarrassed or rushed, even when my situation feels overwhelming.
Right now, I’m in the early stages of my treatment, and Dr. Smith has been working closely with me and the lab to make sure everything fits within my budget. He’s been very reassuring about keeping things affordable, and I’m hopeful that continues to be the case as we move forward.
The staff had also been amazing; very friendly!
So, although my treatment hasn’t been completed yet, I already felt compelled to share how positive my experience has been so far. I’ll definitely update this review once everything is done — but for now, I can confidently say I’m so glad I returned to Dr. Smith’s care.
