Neat old building and art gallery. Mostly all classics. It would have been cool to see old photos or blueprints of the house before it was converted to a museum. Great value, getting three museums for one ticket
Fun tour and neat house. It's not the biggest it grandest old house you can tour but it's worth the trip. Really like that the ticket includes two other museums. We were able to book a later tour and walk over to the other museums before we went on this tour
Very nice option when you have a short Savannah visit. Self-paced audio tour is a great way to explore the house. Nice and friendly staff.
Me and my friend, who were the youngest women of the group, were super excited to learn about the history of the house. Due to parking issues, we were 2 minutes late. Walking in, the older gentleman who was giving the tour, gave us a dirty look. Very welcoming. We made it to the next part of the tour and the benches were all taken up by geriatric men who manspreaded themselves. And then the tour guide would only look at them when talking. After that me and my friend were leaning on the wall because of said geriatric men, then were scolded to not lean on the wall and we had absolutely no idea we weren’t supposed to. The tour guide then rolled his eyes at us and embarrassed us. He made it seem like we had ruined the entire tour for him, and everyone else. When we got to the next part he had his complete back turned towards us and wouldn’t look at us. For a place teaching about segregation and discrimination, they do an absolutely terrible job upholding to their “standards” and “beliefs.” If he was so easy to discriminate me and my friend for existing. I can’t imagine what he’s like outside of the museum. 0/10.
It’s a nice house. The tour definitely brow beats the term enslaved over and over. Other than that it’s a well preserved estate.
Great historical experience
