The tech was actually early. He wasn't able to fix the problem as my washing machine was beyond repairable but he spent the time with me to ensure I ordered a very good quality washer and dryer

We called Techvill as they were recommended for our European style dryer. We had already done a lot of our own testing on the machine, so we were fairly sure that it was the circuit board that was no longer working. We could order the part ourselves for $500, but it was still under warranty, which needed a certified tech to diagnose the issue. So we had someone come out, and from the first call, we believed that it would be somewhere around $250-300 for the service. That diagnostic visit involved the tech spending less than 5 minutes with the dryer, to agree it was the board - he didn't take anything apart, or check if there was any reason that the circuit board had stopped working. So we paid for what we thought was the part (refundable through warranty), and the repair cost. But then we had to pay another almost $300 for the installation, because they had to order the part and come back. So total, we paid almost $600 for less than 45 minutes of work (not including the cost of the part). I have nothing against paying a base fee for a technician to come to the house, and the techs were all nice and competent. But we did feel that the price was not well communicated to us, and we ended up paying almost the same price as a new machine total. We paid more than what we could have ordered the new part for if we didn't go through the warranty, and we would have made different choices had things been better communicated.

I wish I had read the YELP reviews before booking. The call-out fee is $250 + tax, and the technician wasn't able to identify the problem with my Miele induction cooktop. I was told it was "probably" a control board issue--nothing I didn't already suspect. They said they would follow up with the cost of a replacement control board, but I never heard back. I should have contacted Miele Service & Support directly to get an authorized technician. For anyone else seeking appliance repairs, always get the authorized service number from the manufacturer's website or from a major appliance retailer. Trail Appliance was very helpful and provided me with the correct authorized number right away.

Thank you for sharing your experience with us. We understand how disappointing it must have felt to pay for a visit and leave without the clarity or follow-up you expected — especially with a Miele induction cooktop, where specialized diagnostics are often required.

While we do work on many appliance brands, Miele products can require very specific authorized tools and parts, and in cases like this we should communicate that limitation much more clearly before booking. The fact that you didn’t receive the follow-up you were told to expect is also something we need to address on our end.

We have had a very negative experience with this company. They came to fix an issue in June of 2025 for our Miele washer that popped up again in December. When calling to book an appointment this time, I made an appointment with an AI bot. I then got several calls from people at the company asking what I was calling for and then saying they would call back to confirm the appointment. No one showed up the day of the appointment. I called 15 times during that day as I worked from home to make sure I could meet the appointment, and each time I was told that the appointment was in the books and someone would be coming - or I was told they would call back. In the end no one showed up or called us back and we have been completely ghosted.

Be very careful before going ahead with any repair from this company. Their sales team WILL lie to you to get their foot in the door. I called in wanting to know how much parts would be for a fridge that wasn't defrosting. After being assured three times and the salesguy not providing me any info on parts costs assuring me an easy fix with a single callout of $175 I should have known there was a scam afoot. Tech came out, diagnosed the issue and wouldn't you happen to know it, I need $508+GST in repairs on top of the $175 callout fee. I called in and the official response is "Well, we never said it WOULDN'T require parts, just that it "most likely" won't. No refund, no warrenty on their work (fridge is now inoperable, thanks techvill!) and no repair. The only offer on Techvill's side is if I go ahead with a repair of $500, they will discount it by $30. What a scam and a disappointment of a company.

Called a week ago to book an appointment for a oven repair. Was given a time window for the next week Saturday with a 2 hour arrival window. They called me Friday (the day before) wanting to move the time window out by an hour which was inconvenient but not horrible. I missed their call and when I called them back twice to discuss the first time I got a AI bot trying to act as a person that could not handle the simple questions I was asking. The next time I called no one would answer. Then later in the afternoon on the Friday I got a text with the same request via a text message. I responded to the text asking to keep the time I had booked a week ago that was confirmed. It was automated so I never got a response. Then today (day of the appointment) I was up waiting for the tech to arrive and got a call from someone from the company that seemed like a remote service. The lady said that they had an "emergency" come up and needed to move my appointment to Monday. Ya sure........I really believe that. Brutal customer experience from a company with horrible communication. Cancelled my appointment and will book somewhere else with a company that actually cares.

Randy did a great job with the eashing machine. This company is excellent. When I phoned to book a service call the lady was extremely helpful and made a time that suited me. The technician then arrived on time and proceeded to quickly fix the dishwasher. He was friendly and explained what caused the issue, which has not normally been my experience with other technicians. I am absolutely satisfied with everything about this company. Since my initial review I have had another 3 appliances in need of repair: an induction stove, washing machine and a dryer. Please note that the problems have ranged from electrical (motherboard) to mechanical and yet the technician has been able to isolate the issue and then proceed to fix it. The level of professionalism has been exemplary. Each time the technician has arrived on time, and provided outstanding service, all at a reasonable cost. I will continue to utilize TechVill which is the ultimate testimony to this company

I had a very disappointing experience with Techvill. I hired them to fix a sticking fridge door, and they replaced the hinges and charged for parts and labour. The problem was never resolved. When the problem did not resolve, I contacted another repair company, they were here for 5 minutes and were immediately able to tell me the hinges were recalled (the recall started in 2022 substantially prior to my service date from Techvill). Techvill should have checked before doing any work. Instead, they installed parts that were not appropriate for a recalled unit and did not identify or mention the recall at all. When I brought this to their attention, I provided the recall documentation and my appliance details, but they refused to issue a refund or do any sort of customer service gesture. In the end, I paid for a repair that shouldn’t have been done, that didn’t fix the issue, and that should have been addressed through the manufacturer’s recall process. I cannot recommend this company based on my experience.

In some situations, recall eligibility depends on serial number ranges, production batches, and brand-side approval — it isn’t always visible from the symptoms alone. That said, we agree that the communication and overall process should have been clearer so you weren’t left feeling unsupported.

Crap communication. Booked an appointment through the website which was fine. Then I got a message the technician was coming 2 hrs early and was on his way, also fine, then after me waiting for him for 1 hr, I get a call that something came up and they couldnt get it done, which is also fine. But now I am trying to reschedule and when you call in you get stuck with some weird AI attendant that half-sounds like a real person but can't do anything for you, and tells you will get a call back which doesn't happen in the same day. Will go elsewhere, please consider having a staff member answer your phones again..
