Smelt so bad in there, I had to walk right out. Was like a hotbox of musk with no ventilation. Display boxes were mostly empty as well
Guter Laden für pokémon. Viele PSA. Ein Glücksrad und auf gut Glück selbstgemachte Ultra Vault Slab Boxes bieten Zocker Spaß 🤑. Parken kann man auf der Hauptstraße (zeitbegrenzt). Dort ist auch der Eingang ausgeschildert. Laden befindet sich in der oberen Etage. Kaffee gibt's via Durchreiche 😀
Went in to purchase bulk vintage cards. Had gone in less than a week before and was happy with the selection of cards they had so I purchased about 80 cards at 75 cents a piece. Thought that was already a little pricey for bulk, but that’s what the employee quoted me.
Came back less than a week later to purchase 12 more bulk vintage cards after going through thousands of cards only to have the owner - or who I believe to be the owner - charge me double the price from last time. I mentioned the price I paid not even days earlier that was quoted by his staff, but he explained how they have other people interested in cards like these and how they lose money as a shop…
…it’s bulk. They’re in bulk bins. These cards have been sitting in boxes amongst thousands of cards for god knows how long. You don’t even know what’s in there. No customers are lining up for these cards.
I had already gone through the work of finding the cards I wanted so I bought them, but this interaction left a very sour taste in my mouth. I would have kept coming back to this store to purchase more product as Lucky Vault has a diverse selection, but charging a customer double the price on bulk cards days after they already purchased a large quantity of them isn’t an ethical business practice. It felt like a very scalper interaction. Why lose a long term customer to make an extra $10 off of negligible cards? Blows my mind. I won’t be coming back here.
Let me just start off by saying this place has fair pricing. The market fluctuates daily for pokemon product as we all know. I saw their “Obsidian Flames Pokemon Center ETB” for $400. It was bold and big with a sticker on the ETB. I had been looking for this ETB for a while now and they had it. It was their pricing not mine so when I jumped the gun and asked for it. The tall guy with long hair helped me out. He took the ETB. Took off the price and went on his phone to check sold listings. I get to the counter and he tells me “I can’t sell it to you for $400”. As a business I would assume they’re not taking a loss on the product. He got greedy and wanted more profit. On top of that they’re taking payments through Venmo/paypal/zelle. I think we can all assume why. Anyways, left a sour taste in my mouth. First and last time here. Unfortunate because their inventory looks solid.
After a couple visits to this Poke-Card Shop I can honestly say they are some of the best, friendly, honest and knowledgeable staff in the industry, I would seriously recommend this place to any one around the Hollywood area, they are also very fair as well with trade-ins, and their card selection is usually second to none. Always delighted to drop by the Lucky Vault! 🥳✌️👍
