Highly Recommended I have just returned from my second holiday in Quarteira where we have used on both occasions Alex’s wonderful taxi service. He greets us at the Faro airport arrival area with a big smile and clean van. He speaks very good English and is extremely helpful with information on different neighbouring towns, restaurants, markets. We are always interested in hearing what is happening in the area. Alex drops us off in other towns and comes back for us later in the day. He has called local Portuguese numbers and made arrangements for us. It’s like having your own chauffeur. Best taxi in Faro!!From day one, the guys were looking after us - took us places (long and short distance), made recommendations of best places to see, activities and food to try, restaurants and shops, etc.You can book ahead according to your plans or just call them and they will give you an estimate time for pickup which is always fairly quick.Cars are modern and super clean, have air conditioning + very spacy and comfy seats.Prices are also great. To recommend without any hesitation. We wanted to visit several places in the Quarteira area in the Algarve and schedule some excursions offered by our hotel, but several excursions or visits were only offered one or two days a week. So, we decided to approach a taxi driver to evaluate our options. It was an excellent idea since we hit the jackpot by meeting Alex. He took all the time he needed to explain the services he could offer us. We used him a few times and were delighted. Alex is always on time; he speaks impeccable English and has always adapted to our choices. Alex could therefore show us the places we wanted and during the days we wanted. Alex also suggested several new places to us. It was after some thought/research on the web that we discussed with Alex and agreed to combine our proposals and those of Alex. We spent a full day visiting 5 places that we called "the must-sees or our favorites of the Algarve". It was a perfect day, stress-free and full of surprises. I took several hundred photos to immortalize all these beautiful landscapes. Alex was perfect. He is an excellent driver and an outstanding guide. Always attentive to each of our needs/comments and his planning was flawless since we arrived at our hotel 10 minutes before the scheduled time.
