Tried this place today and the food was actually quite good. Our server was good, but the service could be better, made us wait for a while before serving water, the water glasses were not cleaned well, or probably were cleaned with a dirty rag. Music lol I felt like I was at a party night in one of DC’s club playing Latin dance music in an Indian restaurant? Quizzical! Also we tried using InKind for payment, checked the whole website but doesn’t mention anywhere that we can’t use it today. lol and on top of that 20% gratuity for a 2 top? Geez this self tipping culture is beyond imagination now.
Tamashaa food in addition to being tasty presented some interesting twists to a run-of-the-mill menus that many Indian restaurants in the area have.
We loved the drinks menu - amazing presentation and description of the drinks.
We tried several appetizers- tikka paneer, Barra chicken, seekh lamb, malai broccoli and Hyderabadi egg plant. Will rate the all 5* in taste and spiciness. Highly recommend this place.
Excellent service. Excellent ambiance. Great food. A dining experience for all.

A good destination for anyone looking to explore authentic Indian cuisine! While it leans on the pricier side, every penny is absolutely worth it — the food is exceptional, the vibes are good. Highly recommended!

The place is in the Columbia Heights neighborhood and finding parking can be tricky during peak times.
The Makmali Saag Paneer(Cottage Cheese) was made in-house and was fresh. The Amul Cheese kulcha was amazing and filling. Service could be better but food was good.
I would go back here again.

This was an accidental pleasant surprise for us on way to DC. Nice food with twist of fusion. Best dish was achari jackfruit. They brought food early on our table on our request. Would definitely go again if in that area.

My friend and I had a wonderful dinner at Tamashaa. Sara was wonderful. She answered all our questions about their menu and gave great suggestions. The appetizers and drinks are beautiful and the atmosphere is very welcoming. We will definitely be coming back!

The food menu is very diverse - covering all regions of India. The cocktails are very creative take on classics.
Food is top notch flavor.
