Beautiful This was a great trip. Despite the bad rainy weather we got to see lots of beautiful sites. Our guide, Mariano, was super nice and informative. We really enjoyed tour. The only negative about the tour was that the Jeep was very old and the AC did not work properly. Since it was not a warm day, it was fine. But it would’ve been uncomfortable on a hot day. Even though it was a full day tour, I wish we had more time to explore. It’s such a beautiful island. We had a flight to catch at night so we needed to be back to Ponta Delgada by 5:30. If you’re planning to visit Sao Miguel, give yourself at least 5 days. This way you get to see all the beautiful sites and can account for bad weather on some days too. Who would’ve thought that we would get three back to back days of rain and fog in the middle of July! We couldn’t see any of the high elevation sites because of heavy fog, which is a shame. Despite that we still got to see plenty of beautiful sites. The trip was well worth it.

Mariano was a fantastic guide for family with 4 teenage boys! Mariano was the best tour guide! We told him that we are an active family of 6 (4 teenage boys) and he created the best tour for us, based on the fact that we wanted to move around a lot and also it was a foggy/cloudy day! Highly recommend. Super friendly and flexible and gave us an amazing 8 hours. Great history of the island and background insider info on all the things we saw. Engaging for all ages.

Was a great experience with our amazing guide Telmo! Telmo was amazing! He gave us a wonderful tour of Sau Miguel and took us off the beaten path. Shared great informaton and history of the Azores. Was very knowledgable. We saw a lot in one day around the island.

We booked the Half-Day Lagao do Fogo tour had a terrific time with Mariano. We had rented a car and driven around the island the day before, but he took us on back roads and shortcuts that we would not have known about. He also added a personal touch to the geologic and cultural history of the island. He was so kind, knowledgeable and funny. It would not have been the same without him as the guide! Through no fault of the tour company, the lake was shrouded in fog so we couldn't see it, but it was still a great tour with other sights. Would highly recommend and ask for Mariano!

Ótimo passeio! Tivemos um passeio fantástico com Mariano. Nós havíamos alugado um carro e dirigido em torno da ilha no dia anterior, mas ele nos levou em estradas traseiras e atalhos que não teríamos sabido sobre. Ele também acrescentou um toque pessoal à história geológica e cultural da ilha. Ele era tão gentil, informado e engraçado. Não teria sido o mesmo sem ele como o guia! Sem culpa da companhia de turismo, o lago estava coberto de névoa para que não pudéssemos vê-lo, mas ainda foi um grande passeio com outros pontos turísticos. Recomendaria muito e pedir por Mariano!

Our trips were great. The scenery on both Sete Cidades and Furnas was fantastic; we enjoyed bath in hot springs a lot. Food was amazing. Margarida made our trip very enjoyable and unforgettable.

Highest recommendation for T4W and our guide, Mariano! Our tour was amazing! Our guide, Mariano, was absolutely fabulous! I booked this on our own as a shore excursion from a cruise. Mariano was at the cruise terminal about 15 minutes early from our pre-established meeting time. A private 4wd jeep tour was definitely the way to go here! We could go places tour buses couldn't. Mariano was extremely informative. He gave us so much information about the Azores and Sao Miguel Island and answered any questions we had. On a half-day tour, you do not have time to see the entire island, so we focused on the west side and Sete Cidades. We were not disappointed, and the scenery was just beautiful! We highly recommend T4W and Mariano and would absolutely book them again the next time we are in Ponta Delgada.

Amazing Tours We wanted a private tour in order to customize the itinerary. After spending one day with Delfin we asked for a second day to see some of the other areas and it was perfect. He showed us the beauty of the island - both the major sites and also the lesser known hidden gems. He is a wealth of knowledge - everything from the history, to the culture to the geology and everything in between. And he is a weather magician! He timed things perfectly for us to enjoy as much as possible at a pace that was comfortable. Nothing was too much for him to accommodate. Sugerimos vivamente que reserve o seu próximo passeio com Delfim & T4W! Nosso guia turístico Delfim, foi incrível! Amigável e MUITO experiente! Paramos na beira da estrada para colher capuchinha selvagem, erva-doce e alho selvagem para provarmos. Cheio de informações sobre o modo de vida na ilha de São Miguel e tudo o que há para ver, bem como curiosidades sobre a flora e a fauna! Tivemos um dia bastante nublado e ventoso, mas ele aproveitou ao máximo e tentou mudar nossa rota programada para que pudéssemos ver mais. O almoço estava delicioso e ele explicou como os pratos eram preparados e nos incentivou a experimentar de tudo. Delfim fez da nossa excursão uma lembrança maravilhosa, sugerimos reservar seu próximo passeio com ele e T 4 W!
