Sydney Home and Bathroom Renovations Reviews

Sir Ben 2026.09.28

I've dealt with a lot of builders over the years on various projects, and none have been as good to deal with as Chris, Jas and the team at Sydney Home and Bathroom Renovations. We were after a funky warehouse/industrial-luxe feel for our apartment, and they got it straight away, offering practical suggestions without trying to talk us out of what we wanted. Chris has an excellent imagination and came up with clever ways to build it out, including ideas we hadn't thought of. Jas kept everything running smoothly, and it was always a pleasure dealing with her. The rest of the crew were just as good: skilled, tidy and easy to have around. The workmanship is first-rate, with a real eye for detail. Working in an apartment building brings its own headaches (strata rules, lift bookings, noise limits, neighbours), and they handled all of it professionally and without any drama. Their pricing was fair and we felt we got genuine value for money, which isn't always a given with builders. These guys take real pride in their work and genuinely go the extra mile. By the end of the job, Chris, Jas and the team felt more like friends than tradies. The apartment came up so well that we decided to sell our house and move in! We wouldn't hesitate to call them for our next job.

I recently had my unit renovated by Sydney Home and Bathroom Renovations and honestly couldn’t be happier with how everything turned out. Jasmin was amazing to deal with from the start. Always quick to respond, helpful, and made the whole process feel easy. Chris really knows his stuff when it comes to unit renovations in Sydney and took the time to explain everything clearly during the consultation. The team renovated my 2 bathrooms, kitchen, replaced all the flooring, painted the whole unit and upgraded the lighting throughout. My favourite part is definitely the kitchen. They added so much practical storage and everything now has its place, which has made daily life so much easier. The quality of the work was great and the team were professional the whole way through. I’m so happy with the final result and would absolutely use Sydney Home and Bathroom Renovations again in the future.

Recently had both our bathrooms renovated by Sydney home and bathroom renovations. Great professional on site team and kept us informed along the way. Both bathrooms turned out fantastic and are quality work. The design elements that we requested were also incorporated and work great in the space. Make sure you have plans made up and ready to go as they move fast.

The team at Sydney Home and Bath Reno’s did an amazing renovation on our bathroom, we also added an additional bathroom to our family home converting an office into our ensuite and both are stunning. We couldn’t have hoped for a better outcome and the workmanship is on point! Our home is now complete with thanks to the team. Thanks Chris and Jas.

We had a very good experience with SHBR when we renovated our bathroom and laundry sometime back. The scoping with Chris was precise and the timelines committed to finish the work was met. We wanted to install a specific barn door and Chris was patient and flexible enough to install it for us once we procured it. I would recommend using SHBR to my network.

I recently had my kitchen and apartment interior renovated in Darlinghurst by Sydney Home and Bathroom Renovations and couldn't be happier with the outcome. From start to finish, the attention to detail was impressive — nothing was overlooked, and it showed in the final result. What really stood out was how responsive and communicative the team was throughout the whole process. Any questions or concerns were addressed quickly, and there was a genuine sense of urgency to get things done without ever compromising on quality. The finished space looks fantastic and exceeded our expectations. Highly recommend Sydney Home and Bathroom Renovations to anyone looking for a tradie who actually cares about the work they deliver.

scams alert ,,they change the name from synnex bathrooms ,,I called to ask a few simple questions and the owner answered the phone, unfortunately he was very short, dismissive and rude throughout the conversation,I didn’t appreciate the attitude or the lack of basic customer service.it completely put me off and I won’t be returning or recommend this place to anyone.

Great communication and very easy to work with. Chris managed the whole process as we do not live locally. He designed the layout, organised trades, picked finishes and appliances etc. The company met all the requirements to work with Strata. The end result was a beautiful, modern kitchen.

Amazing renovations done by Chris and his team. He was easy to work with, presented great ideas and executed plans to a high degree of excellence, whilst working within the timeframe. I highly recommend his services to anyone looking to renovate their property! We did a full house makeover, Chris managed to completely transform our three bathrooms whilst converting our garage into a master bedroom with a walk in robe and bathroom. He handled all hassles end-to-end from architect reviews to counsel approvals. Before and after pictures of my bathroom are attached below, just one of the transformations Chris has done for me.

Chris was very helpful during the design consult we had with him. He spent a lot of time with us going through the house discussing everything we wanted to improve, while giving us feasible ideas and solutions. He gave us options and was not pushy at all which we appreciated. He didn't just suggest work for the sake of it, he was real on what could be improved so not to stretch our budget.

I decided to do a full apartment renovation and spent a lot of time researching different companies, getting quotes, and meeting with builders. When I came across Sydney Home & Bathroom Renovations, the experience was exceptional from start to finish. From my initial inquiry—answered promptly—to meeting Chris the very next day, I immediately felt at ease and knew I was in the right hands. During our first consultation, I shared my vision, and Chris not only understood but also offered great suggestions to enhance the design. Throughout the process, I made a few changes (as you do!), and every request was met with a positive, “can do” attitude. The final result exceeded my expectations—I now have my dream home, exactly as I had envisioned. I can’t thank the team enough! Every member was professional, friendly, and a pleasure to work with, making the entire experience stress-free and enjoyable. Highly recommend!
