Don’t google anyone else for your heating needs. Their follow up service keeps you cool when you need to be, and warm when you don’t.
Problem solved fast
I telephoned and received kind, friendly and courteous help that I needed. The next day (exceeding my expectations) a wonderful young man arrived and provided the service I needed and because it was deemed a small job there was no charge. In 2024 this is just amazing. Exorbitant costs and slack fault finding.
Started off well. Heater died on the Thursday and surrey Air said they could have someone here the next afternoon. However later called and managed to get someone out that day.
So far so good. Engineer came out and quickly stated the Fan bearing had collapsed and a new motor required. Said they would call back with a quote and left. $297 down.
Next day a quote arrived. $1990 to replace the Fan motor assembly.
This sounded high so I looked up the parts. A new brivis fan motor for my unit cost less than $700 retail. Not only that but closer inspection showed it was basically plug and play. Screw in the new motor and connect 2 plugs together. No fancy wiring or skills required.
So Surrey Air was going to charge over $1300 labour for a 30 minute job. I believe they know people are desperate to get their heating working in this weather and are deliberately ripping people off.
To make matters worse I took out the old motor in 10 minutes and tested it in the shed. It ran fine.
We got another company out and he diagnosed the real issue which was a failed main board. This was found by simply checking the voltage going to the motor which was way down on what was required. He showed me the burnt-out resistor which cause the problem. Not only that he went straight out, bought the new part and came back and installed it that day. Now that's service. $766 in total including parts and call out fee.
Oh by the way the Surrey Air Quote explicitly states the following Exclusions.

Any further works outside the items listed above under works.
If there any parts failure, replacement will need to Occur
Any other parts due to Electrical fusion occurring as compressor needs to be thoroughly checked after above mentioned parts are installed.
Any additional works or works thar are outside our scope of works, ie system issues or any other parts or electronics that may need to be replaced.
Replacement of any other parts other than the listed items, with the system in its current condition it could not be tested so we are unable to say if there are any other issue ( like - PCB boards, sensors, pressure switches, gas valve, etc..) with the system.
So basically, I would have been charged $1990 then they would have miraculously found the issue was with the mainboard and had to make another quote and come out again probably charging another $1990.
This behaviour leads me to believe.
1) Surrey Air is relying on people's desperation and ignorance to get away with exorbitant fees.
2) They either did a sloppy job of diagnosing the actual issue or Knew the fault was something else but hoped to bleed me further with additional visits.

Steve from Surrey Air came to service the air conditioner in our recently purchased property yesterday and we couldn’t have been happier with the service. The proof is in the pudding as the heating efficiency in our house has improved out of sight. He also explained the pros and cons of our rather compromised air conditioner and gave us advice on how to maintain it ourselves til the next service in 12 months time. Many thanks Steve !

Booked a service and was told it would be done that day. Got a call the following day that the guy would be there in 30 minutes. 5 out 5 stars to Phil the service technician, he was thorough in his identification of the issue and apologized that he could not get the unit going. I'm happy with his service and outlines the problem.
Next day the office sends me a quote for $4100 to replace the entire unit. Not sure of the costing as I can buy the quoted replacement unit for $1990. The quote states they will use all existing piping and electrical and dispose of the old unit. I ring two installers that are will to do the install for $700 for a total of $2690.
Once again thanks Phil I could see you are passionate and good at what you do. As for the quote from sales/service I will be going elsewhere thanks.
Excellent service and reasonable charges
I am delighted to write a review of the excellent customer service, punctuality, and reasonable charges I experienced when I had my heater repaired and serviced recently.
Firstly, I was impressed with the customer service provided by the company when I contacted them to book an appointment. Jason was courteous and professional, and was able to schedule me in for a convenient time that suited my schedule. He also explained the process of the repair and service, so I knew what to expect.
Secondly, the technicians arrived promptly at the agreed-upon time. They were courteous, friendly, professional and took the time to explain the repairs they were carrying out on my heater. They were also efficient in their work, and completed the repair and service within the estimated time frame.
Finally, I was pleasantly surprised by the reasonable charges for the repair and service. The company provided a detailed breakdown of the costs, so I knew exactly what I was paying for. The charges were very reasonable, and I felt that I received excellent value for money.
Overall, I would highly recommend this company for heater repair and service. The customer service, punctuality and reasonable charges were all exemplary, and I will definitely be using them again in the future.
My experience with Surrey Air Heating and Cooling.
The Fujitsu Split System Inverter, started leaking indoors on the cooling cycle.
On the heating cycle the two lights on the bottom left side started flashing. The unit was turned off.
I called Surrey Air to book a call out. Damon and David arrived and promptly addressed both issues.
Within a short amount of time the unit was working on both cycles.
I am impressed by the professionalism and knowledge these two young men had.
I would thoroughly recommend Surrey Air to family and friends.

I called Surrey Air to get my ancient Brivis central heating unit going again. They called 30 minutes ahead and although they were held up at a previous job and running late, they still attended after hours and fixed the problem. Great job and excellent service!

Contacted Surrey Air regarding the servicing and repair of my A/C and thermostat controls. The Surrey Air team were fantastic to work with from start to finish, Kat was professional and efficient and was able to arrange the booking really quickly with no problems. The servicemen that arrived called 30 minutes prior, they were polite and very thorough on explaining the problem with my thermostat and serviced my A/C. Highly recommend this place for business. Had a faulty heat and a couple of daikin wall split systems that were due for a service. So I called up Surrey air and they were professional and knowledgeable on the phone and booked me in for a repair service and maintenance service. When they were out there they found the fault and also diligently did a carbon monoxide test and found a leak. They brought on an on the spot sizing and measurement and later quote for a brilliantbrivisgas ducted heater. As for the service maintenance they new everything on my daikin split systems happily recommend them to anyone.
