They installed an 18kw ground-mount array for me at my farm, which has been great. It was a complex job, but they clearly explained all the components and scheduled things with enough time to complete. When I expand this system, they'll be the ones to do it. 2026 update: It's been 11 years since the install, and zero problems and practically zero maintenance other than a tree branch taking out a panel in the ice storm a few years back. Overall: solar has saved me many thousands of dollars; one of the best investments I've made and will keep saving me into the future.

We had a 21-panel (5.78 kW) system installed by Sunbridge Solar in September 2017 after receiving five different bids. We chose them because they were not only the most competitive, but also the friendliest and least pushy company we met with.
Over the years, we’ve had a couple of microinverters fail (as electronics sometimes do), and each time Sunbridge handled the warranty seamlessly (and at no cost!). I’d send a quick note, and within days their crew was out to diagnose and fix the issue. They clearly stand behind their work long after installation, which says a lot.
Most recently, when we decided to replace our aging roof, Jordan and his team went above and beyond coordinating panel removal and reinstallation. The level of professionalism and service throughout the process was exceptional.
It’s one thing to do a good install - it’s another to support your customers for nearly a decade afterward. Sunbridge does both. Highly recommend.

Great service from start to finish. I had talked to several solar companies before contacting sunbridge solar and every single one had to jump on a call to go over the build. They had to come talk to me in person. I didn’t want any of that and knew it was an annoying sales tactic. I got none of that with Sunbridge solar. It was a quick 10 minute phone call to go over my ask, a few emails back and forth to answer questions and go over things I was confused about. My expectations were managed from the beginning when I got put on the list for installation and then they were beat when they had a last minute cancelation and got things installed quicker.
Great communication from every person involved. The installation crew was respectful of my space and explained everything in great detail before tearing into anything.
Also, the pricing was the most competitive I could personally find.

All of the folks at Sunbridge were great to work with throughout the entire process. They were very responsive to my questions and requests and expeditiously completed all of the paperwork and obtained the required permits. The crew that performed the system installation was friendly, professional, clearly took pride in their craft. The electrical work was done with forethought and care, and the solar panel installation was done with attention to detail. I had requested that the wiring for the panels be run through the attic rather than in conduit over the roof. This was no easy task as the roof has a very shallow pitch, and the attic contains extensive ductwork and blown-in insulation making access difficult. Despite these challenges the crew neatly ran the wiring through the attic and out the underside of the soffit. I am pleased with the solar panel system and the installation and highly recommend Sunbridge.

We decided we needed to get our solar panels installed this year because of the end of the tax break and Sunbridge Solar had excellent reviews. When we called, they were able to get someone out to assess our roof quickly and best of all, to get the panels installed before the rainy season rolled in. Also, we live out on the coast, so were grateful they were able to come out from Washougal to do the installation. They were done in a day. It was a seamless process all the way around.

It’s been exactly one year since Sunbridge Solar installed my system, and I can confidently say this was one of the best home investments I’ve ever made.
I interviewed at least six solar companies before choosing Sunbridge. Most gave me cookie-cutter proposals based on generic formulas. Sunbridge, on the other hand, really looked at my roof. They understood the nuances of its configuration and figured out how to maximize every square foot for panel placement. That mattered to me because I wanted a large system to power my fully electric 3200 sq ft home (electric heat pump, hot tub, and two full-size EVs). In other words, we use quite a bit of electricity.
Sunbridge delivered. They designed a 24.84 kW system with a predicted annual output of 26.0 MWh. One year later, my system has overproduced at 26.3 MWh. My electric bill has dropped to zero, aside from the utility’s grid connection fee. This winter will be the first real test of net-metering through the darker months, but so far, things look excellent.
The entire process was smooth : no high-pressure sales tactics -- Justin was my point person and he was great to work with.
I ended up selecting top-tier REC460 panels, each with its own Enphase microinverter. The panels themselves look sleek and understated on my modern-style home. Installation went exactly on schedule. Pricing was the most competitive out of everyone I interviewed, and the federal tax credit applied smoothly. (Unfortunately, the OR state incentives had run out for 2024 when I had the system installed.)
Customer service after installation remained excellent. When one panel seemed to have a malfunction, they were onsite within a week and fixed it immediately. The Enphase app allowed me to identify the problem promptly, as it monitors energy production from the whole system and from each individual panel on a daily basis.
Bottom line: Sunbridge Solar outshined the competition in knowledge, pricing, and service.

UPDATED: Since writing my original review the guys at Sunbridge scheduled a repair visit and worked with me until the system was installed and functional. It still hurt to have spent tens of thousands of dollars on a system and then spend $6,000 more to repair. It was a painful and costly lesson for me and the repairs came at a time when I was stretched thin financially. At the end of the day this situation has still dampened my enthusiasm for distributed energy systems by a lot, but Sunbridge did finish the job and make sure everything was fixed and buttoned up.
ORIGINAL REVIEW: In 2017 sunbridge solar installed a 4.8kw rooftop PV array on my roof with an LG battery backup. After ETO incentives it cost $27,500 and then about $3000 in tax credits so let's say about $24,000. The system was showing declining production so Sunbridge came out and saw that squirrels had nested under the array and chewed through all of the wiring. They turned the system off.
So let's do the math on that! 6 years of solar for $24,000 - that's about $333/month which is nearly 10 times what I would pay the utility. It's insane.
Homeowners insurance will not cover damage from pests so any repairs due to rodent barrier not having been suggested or installed back in 2017 are mine to bear. I had to call other firms for the repair because I played phone tag with Jesse multiple times back in March and July ultimately bothering the owner to get an answer about getting the system repaired. Sunbridge got back to me a month and a half and multiple emails later to tell me they would not be able to even look at my job until October.
In the meantime my system has been off for 6 months and so I had called a few other companies.It's been difficult to get a repair company to come out and give an estimate on the repair but one firm said that rodents chewing panel wires is not uncommon and part of me has to wonder why this was not suggested at the get for a system that costs nearly $30k. The second firm that was supposed to come do the repair ended up showing up unprepared and now here I am back at square one with a $30k hunk of junk on my roof for the last 6 months.
I run a company and when my company's stuff breaks I try to stand by my work and get things fixed quickly. Solar companies don't manufacture the product they sell. They sell a service and I wish these guys cared more about standing behind the service they provide.
I feel like I am being shunted to the side and it's annoying to have to pester and follow up constantly to get a contractor to stand by their work and their area of expertise. Why didn't they suggest the pest barrier in the first place? Why does it take months and months to get them to get this super spendy system back online?
I literally founded a program in 2002 to promote the kind of residential and small commercial PV systems that are this company's bread and butter. I have worked in the solar and clean energy sector for nearly 20 years. I am not going to lie this whole expereince has me livid and convinced that small distributed solar is a bad idea. It's expensive and wasteful. Why the hell should anyone spend a third of their annual salary to buy a hunk of plastic junk that is just going to be useless after 6 years? Insane. And galling that these guys didn't do a better job identifying how to help a homeowner care for and protect this investment. I'm so pissed off.
Hi Tanya I definitely hear your complaints and they are valid. As a small business service can be a challenge and we are doing our best to hire staff to expressly address service issues. At the time of your installation, we really did not know that squirrel damage was a considerable risk. We now offer that and recommend it to every new job, especially ones in heavily treed areas. Since the time of this review we have been back to Tanya's home and gave her our at cost price to remove her system, replace all damaged equipment caused by the squirrel damage, and reinstall everything with new critter guard. I hope in the long run the system will continue to operate well from this point. Thanks for working with us to resolve your issues.

We just had our solar system + back up batteries installed by Sunbridge Solar. Overall, I am happy we chose this company and happy with the work they did so far. Our initial experience with Justin and the team who did the install was amazing.
Its a 4-star review due to things post-install. After PGE installed the bi-directional meter, the system start-up was super clunky and took several days and lot of troubleshooting to get it running. We spent a lot of time over 3-4 days in calls and emails with Sunbridge, then ultimately someone came back to the house to get the system online. My understanding from the installers was that a technician from Sunbridge was planning to come to our house either with or after the meter install to complete the rest of the startup. Had they done this, it probably would have ultimately saved them time, as they could have had someone troubleshooting the issues in real life. After the install, coms with the office and project manager dried up until today with a message implying that we were "late" in a final payment to them, when they had not sent a final invoice/link for us to pay.

We hired SunBridge to design and install a 10kW system on our home and the entire experience was exceptional!
During the initial consultation, Jim was careful to take all of our specific needs and wants into account while helping guide us toward the right system for our home. We have quite a few large trees and several different roof sections on our home, so it took a little more care from a design standpoint to not only fit the right number of panels on our roof to meet our needs, but also to maintain the aesthetic of our home. I got bids from 3 other companies, and did a ton of research ahead of time and working with SunBridge was an obvious choice when we saw how expertly they handled the design process.
I have been both an electrical contractor and a home remodeler myself for the past 20+ years, and I am a fanatic about installation quality. We have also had solar installed on 2 other homes over the years with 2 other companies. The technicians at SunBridge were well trained, friendly, very neat and most importantly, they take pride in their work! The solar array on the house looks great and works perfectly, I even got up in the attic and every single wire they installed is fastened up properly.....it's the details that show the quality. The entire installation was done very well and it was a stress-free experience as I could tell right away that we were in good hands.

Jordan was the only guy we found who was willing to install on top of our barn, rather than the house. It took some engineering and some extra thought, so it meant a lot to us that he was willing to go the extra mile. We're in year 9 of our 10KW system in the Willamette Valley and haven't had a single problem and everything's working great to this day, although I do owe the panels a good cleaning. We're making a solid 12-13MwH every year and our electric bill (thanks to the now-unavail cash program with PGE) is around MINUS $3K/yr. Thanks Jordan & crew!
