We’ve had such a wonderful experience with Anika Hakim at Summit Prep. She tutored my older son and is currently working with my younger son, and both boys genuinely loved learning with her. Anika has an incredible ability to adapt her teaching style to the way each child learns best, which made such a difference in both their confidence and understanding. She keeps sessions engaging, fun, and light while still being extremely effective, especially for test prep. She is patient, encouraging, knowledgeable, and truly invested in her students’ success. I would highly recommend Summit Prep to any parent looking for an exceptional tutor, as they will pair you with the right tutor.

Kirill helped me with the MCAT as well as the med school application process. I genuinely owe everything to this man. My family knows absolutely nothing about the medical school process, and having Kirill to lead us literally changed our lives. Kirill not only got me into my dream medical school, but also into every single school I interviewed at. I could not recommend him more. PROS: 1. My daughter just got a 35 on her ACTs after only 11 total hours of tutoring with Christian Sherwin (for parents in the SAT/ACT planning process — note that it was only math that my daughter worked on with Christian). Talk about time efficient! 2. Christian was just the kind of tutor my daughter needed — someone who put her at ease and had full confidence in her. He was ALWAYS patient with her, and I think that emotional piece is an overlooked part of doing well in this whole junior year process. 3. In person tutoring option if you want (my daughter said in person was clutch for math). CONS: 1. It’s obviously not inexpensive. But my daughter jumped 5 points in math with just 4 sessions with Christian between her 1st and 2nd time taking the ACT. FYI we bought the 20 hour package and have 9 hours left. Summit Prep allows you to use the remaining sessions for a younger sibling — so we will be doing that with Christian in the future!!!

I did tutoring for SAT here for around 2-3 months and it was the best thing I could have done for my score. My tutor Ryan was really easy to get along with and he also had so many more practice questions that were actually relevant than other places. I ended up bumping my score up way past my goal in just those few months meeting for 2 hours a week. lo;

We had such a great experience working with Renzo Herrera at Summit Prep in Short Hills. In under two months, he helped my daughter bring her ACT score up from an 18 to a 30, which honestly felt amazing to see. Renzo was super patient, encouraging, and really knew how to connect with her. He made tough material feel manageable and helped build her confidence every step of the way. We’re so thankful for all his help and would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for ACT prep!

I love working with Will every Wednesday! He is so kind and supportive, always making sure I understand the concept. I love how he adjusts to explain things in different ways whenever it is not initially clicking for me. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for ACT tutoring!

My understanding of my class material has gotten much better, and so have my grades. Michael tutored me over the span of a little over 2 months while preparing for the SAT. He taught me extremely valuable skills and tips that helped me improve my score a lot! As the sessions went on I started to feel a lot more comfortable with the test and question types. He is super nice and personable, he also explains things very clearly which makes hard concepts easy to understand. He is an amazing tutor and I would definitely recommend!

Renzo is an excellent Calculus Tutor. For context I am a high schooler taking dual enrollment classes. When I came to Renzo, I was struggling in my dual enrollment Calc 1 class. Renzo’s ability to adapt to his students needs, as well as his flexibility makes him stand out as a tutor. I was able to significantly raise my Calculus 1 grade, and have continued working with Renzo for Calculus 2.

Summit Prep is wonderful! They took the time to fully understand my son’s situation and his goals and appropriately recommended Brandon to tutor him for the ACT. I can’t say enough great things about Brandon. My son had done very well on 2/3 of the ACT test, but he had one section that was well below where he wanted it to be and we decided to reach out to Summit prep for help. After working with Brandon, he scored a perfect score in that section! Brandon was always available, even when he was traveling to Asia with his family. He wished my son luck before the ACT and he followed up afterwards to hear what he thought of the test. He’s an excellent tutor and he cares about the kids he’s working with. I will not hesitate to reach out and ask for Brandon when my younger two are prepping for these tests.

I went into summit prep with a 27 on the practice act. I worked with Anika over the course of 6 months and was able to get my score up to a 34 and possibly a 35 in the future 🤞. She was excellent to work with and especially helped me with timing and how to attack problems.
