This was a very special incredible experience. I felt like my dreams of becoming a mermaid came true. The whole team was super nice and made me feel comfortable about doing this for the first time and gave me a lot of tips. I felt welcomed to explore the mermaid world. I hope to travel with them again soon.

Maldives… how do I even put into the words the pure spiritual experience I had? Ever since I was 7 years old I wanted to go to the Maldives, why? Well because it’s a shark sanctuary! The Maldives healed parts of me that I didn’t know was broken. What was suppose to be a super fun, adventurous trip with Submerge turned into me experiencing HEAVEN on Earth. Me trying to explain to you all what I experience would truly be an injustice. I wish I could type out everything I felt. All I can say is that I bawled like a baby underwater experiencing manta rays, SHARKS, eagle rays, the schools of fish, sea turtles, cuttlefish, eels, and I could go on and on. I was in ultimate peace being surround by shivers of sharks. I will be going back to the Maldives any chance I get. Whatever my creator took from the cosmos to cultivate the magic in Maldives is the same atoms that was used to create me. Thank you to my dear friends Justin and Abbey for always being truly the best at everything. I love you both!

From the very beginning, they made sure I felt completely safe and informed — walking me through breathing techniques, posing tips, and everything I needed to know as someone who is still new and finding my flippers with underwater photography.

I've traveled halfway around the world twice and driven 8 hours across California to shoot with the Submerge team. Every time I've worked with them, I felt so taken care of and safe. If you want to do epic things with fun people, Abbey and Justin, have you covered. You will need to clearly communicate what you want from the experience, and they will deliver! On a side note, after you have done one of their underwater modeling workshops you will be hooked, and a normal boring vacation just won’t compare. It’s going to suck!

Sure… there’s lots of photography and travel companies out there. But with Submerge, it is the most unique and immersive experience! I have always felt comfortable in the water but not so much when it came to diving 40+ feet, underwater and modeling. Abbey is an amazing coach that made sure I was hitting all of my marks and Justin‘s personality makes you feel very comfortable knowing that you’re going to get the right shot! I did not have to worry about a single thing the entire trip in Bali and I cannot wait to go on future adventures with them! I have some artwork of myself that I am finally proud to hang in my home!

I recently went on the Bali Seasick/Submerge trip and it was so much more than I ever could have dreamed! From Scuba diving to whitewater rafting to relaxing spa massages to stunning water palaces… it was a trip I’ll never forget! I reunited with old friends from our Maldives trip and met some new ones. It was such a supportive, fun, inspiring group of people! The modeling sessions with Justin and Abbey were, as always, superb. I felt so safe and encouraged to express myself creatively during each session. I always trust that their guidance and expertise will provide me with gorgeous photos, even though my breath hold isn’t very long- it wasn’t an issue. I can’t wait to join another Seasick/Submerge trip!!!

I was excited to book my first professional underwater photoshoot with Submerge while I was visiting SoCal. Justin and Abbey are the underwater dream team that you would hope to work with for your first experience! They made sure to help me understand what I was looking to accomplish in my shoot and captured my ideas perfectly. Abbey was even able to pick out the perfect gown for me from her amazing curated costume collection! They both made me feel safe and comfortable in the water, while directing my poses in an easy to understand way. I feel like anyone, with any level of experience can do an underwater photoshoot with them and get amazing ethereal results! I highly recommend booking a shoot with them if you are visiting the area, it’s such an empowering and unique experience to conquer the element of water under their professional guidance! This is the second time I’ve shot with Submerge. I’m about as novice and inexperienced as they come. Abbey is so patient, kind, and gives really great feedback in the moment. Justin ALWAYS gets usable footage, even if I feel like I look like a train wreck. This time, I had my two kids (6 and 9) jump in to grab some shots… it was pure underwater magic! They both treated my kids so amazingly, that they went home and told their friends that they are professional underwater models!
