I would not recommend this college to international students.
My experience was extremely disappointing. What is advertised and what students actually experience are very different. Before enrolling, make sure you fully understand the requirements, the examination process, and what happens after the program ends.
The statistics that are promoted do not tell the whole story. A much more important question is how many students actually start the program, how many complete it, and how many ultimately receive a university admission (Zulassung). From what I observed, the number of students who successfully continue to university is far lower than most applicants would expect.
Another major concern is that completing the program does not automatically solve your residence situation. If you do not obtain a university admission in time, you may face difficulties extending your stay in Germany.
Looking back, I regret choosing this college and would strongly advise prospective students to research all alternatives, especially public Studienkollegs, before making a decision.
Thank you for sharing your feedback.
We take critical feedback seriously and carefully review concerns raised by students and applicants. At present, however, we are unable to match this review to a student record under the name displayed here. If you have studied with us, we would sincerely invite you to contact us directly at info@stk-duesseldorf.de so that we can review your individual case in detail.
For prospective students reading this review, we would like to clarify a few important points:
Studienkolleg Düsseldorf provides information about admission requirements, course structure, the examination pathway, and the university application process before enrolment and throughout the program. We encourage all applicants to ask detailed questions before making a decision and are happy to discuss the process transparently in a personal consultation.
It is also important to note that no Studienkolleg can guarantee a residence permit after completion of the program. Residence matters are decided by the responsible immigration authorities and depend on each student’s individual circumstances. We support our students by providing guidance on visa and residence matters.
With regard to university admission, our role as a Studienkolleg is to prepare international students for the university entrance qualification examination (Feststellungsprüfung / FSP). We do not make university admission decisions and have no influence over them. Admission to a university depends on the student’s individual academic profile, application strategy, and the admission requirements of the respective universities.
We remain committed to transparency, continuous improvement, and supporting prospective and current students with accurate information throughout their educational journey.
