I had THE BEST experience at Caminhos. I took their language programs for 2 weeks and had great teachers with Juan and Giulli. I also did their homestay program, which was a great way to get more immersed in Rio's culture (and stay right in Ipanema!). I'm planning to continue private classes virtually from my country with their teachers. Couldn't recommend more.

Die Organisation war super, alle waren sehr bemüht und die Lehrer sehr motiviert uns viel beizubringen, über die brasilianische Kultur und abseits von Grammatik.
Die Aktivitäten waren vielseitig und es war bestimmt nicht das letzte Mal, das ich bei Caminhos war !😁

Ich habe beim Caminhos Language Center eine großartige Erfahrung gemacht! Die Lehrer gestalten den Unterricht spannend und interaktiv. Ich hatte wahnsinnigen Spaß am Lernen und konnte super viel mitnehmen. Außerdem bietet die Schule tolle Aktivitäten an, durch die es sehr leicht fällt, neue Leute kennenzulernen und sich zu connecten. Das gesamte Team ist immer hilfsbereit und sorgt dafür, dass man sich rundum wohlfühlt. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Adorei minha estadia aqui! Passei um mês aprendendo português nas aulas de nível B2, e foi realmente uma experiência transformadora para mim. Tive a sorte de fazer aulas (o curso intensivo) com apenas uma ou duas outras pessoas (dependendo da semana), o que me permitiu avançar muito rapidamente. A escola oferece muitas atividades, e fico muito feliz por ter podido embarcar nessa experiência. Recomendaria essa escola a qualquer estudante de português!

Ich hatte für insgesamt 4 Wochen einen B2 und C1 Kurs besucht. Die Lehrer waren alle fast ausnahmslos sehr motiviert und engagiert, sowohl im Gruppen - als auch im Einzelunterricht. Die Atmosphäre mit vielen anderen Schülern war sehr nett und man hat sehr schnell andere Leute in Rio kennengelernt (in meiner Klasse waren je nach Woche 3-6 Leute. In der Sprachschule ca. 50. Kurz vor Karneval sogar wohl bis zu ca. 150). Ich hatte eine großartige Zeit in Rio. Mein portugiesisch hat große Fortschritte gemacht und gleichzeitig konnte ich die cidade maravilhosa genießen

Sehr unprofessionell geführte Schule. Jede Woche eine andere Lehrerin. Manche der Lehrerinnen sind überempfindlich, wenn einem z.B.mal eine Aufgabe mit Bildern auf Karten nicht so gefiel (ziemlich kindisch also), regte sie sich vor allen auf über mich & ging gleich zur Verwaltung. Die restlichen Tage ohne Probleme im Unterricht. Doch am Ende der Woche von ihr der gut gemeinte Tipp: Privatunterricht nehmen sei besser, nur 1,5h pro Tag statt wie gezahlt 4h Gruppenunterricht pro Tag. Der holländische Inhaber der Schule trug null zur Deeskalation bei; er sagte klar u. respektlos, ich muss Privatunterricht nehmen. Als wäre sonst was passiert! So wurde ich in noch keiner Sprachschule behandelt. Einige Schüler erhalten Bücher, andere nur Kopien - ohne Erklärung. Absolut nicht zu empfehlen also für Leute, die eine fachlich gut geführte Schule suchen!

I had an amazing time at Caminhos. Each and every member of their staff, every teacher, and even the peripheral Caminhos community was friendly, inclusive, and cared deeply about my success in Brazil and with the Portuguese language.
I purchased the 6-month student visa package and would highly recommend this for anyone who wants personal support in a long-term stay in Rio. I told the reception staff I needed a student visa in less than two months, and they got the necessary documents to me in the same day. They were knowledgable and able to answer every little question I had about getting there and staying with a visa.
I chose the host-family accommodation, and the staff that arranged that were perfectly helpful as well. My housing went beyond my expectations and was just what I needed - the staff made sure that this continued to be the case during my 4-month stay.
The Portuguese classes, the teachers, the material, and the dynamic range of activities all made going to school a fulfilling and positive experience. I went 5 days a week for 16 weeks and never once felt I was wasting my time or money. Over the course of my time there, I became more and more comfortable with the language - I went from level 0 to being able to make Brazilian friends in Portuguese - and I can only thank Caminhos' wonderful staff!!
I highly recommend Caminhos to every type of foreigner wanting to learn Portuguese and have an immersive, well-rounded time in Rio de Janeiro as well.

Auch mein dritter Kurs bei Caminhos war wieder toll und genau auf mein, mittlerweile hohes, Sprachniveau zugeschnitten. Das online-Format auf der digitalen Lernplattform klappte sehr gut und alles war super organisiert.
