It has been months with no resolution.
I already agreed — unfairly — to a R10,000 deduction just to move this forward, even though securing a location is entirely Love Matcha’s responsibility, not mine. They didn’t even secure anything — I was simply put on a waiting list.
Now, instead of refunding me what is rightfully mine, Love Matcha is trying to impose conditions, like demanding I remove posts about my experience before they pay me. That is completely unacceptable. You don’t get to hold someone’s money and then dictate terms.
Your own agreement clearly states this was a refundable deposit, yet you are refusing to honour it.
For a company of your size, this is extremely unprofessional. At this point, it’s clear you cannot be trusted to stick to your own agreements.
This has been an exhausting and frustrating experience.
Mich hat der Matcha leider nicht überzeugt; die Farbe des Matchas ist nicht sonderlich frisch sondern gräulich. Der Geschmack war auch etwas bitter, was entweder auf die Qualität, oder zu heißes Wasser/Milch hindeutet.
Der Matcha-Besen wurde nicht korrekt auf seiner Ablage gelagert und war dadurch sehr verbogen.
Die Bedienungen sind sehr freundlich!

We entered into a franchise agreement with Love Matcha which provided for a three-month period to secure a suitable location.
The three-month period elapsed without confirmation of a secured site. During that time, we were informed that the proposed location was subject to a waiting list.
Following this, we requested the return of our deposit in accordance with the agreement. Despite providing our banking details and sending multiple follow-up emails, the refund has not been processed.
Communication has been extremely limited. We were advised not to contact the business via phone or WhatsApp and to communicate only by email. Email responses have taken weeks at a time, and there has been no clear timeline provided for repayment.
This has been a very very disappointing experience
The matcha tasted horrible. This is my second time trying it, and unfortunately it was still not good.
There was also an issue on January 25th where the waiter over-tipped herself. That matter was resolved yesterday, February 14.
I also felt uncomfortable during my visit because I believe the staff recognized me and were gossiping about me.
