Our property company recently let a new build bungalow through Stevens and Carter and the service was excellent throughout. I dealt mainly with Millie who was incredibly helpful. As a first time landlord I had plenty of questions and she answered everything clearly and professionally. The process was handled efficiently and I was kept fully updated at each stage. I would highly recommend their lettings team to anyone looking to rent out their property.

I have waited to write this review till our house sale went through with another agent. Here we go! We first used Stevens and Carters to list our house and the communication we received was absolutely terrible. Selling a house and buying another one should be an exciting time however in our instance it wasn’t 6 weeks into the process the few people we had come to look at the property were not in a proceedable position.We felt a bit of a loss about it all having seen houses sell in our area I made a trip into the office to discuss how we moved forward and was met with a very negative response. Yes I understand that they might be the market leaders in the area but that was not what I wanted to hear feeling very frustrated by the lack of communication we were receiving. We decided to move over to another estate agents and was met with a few very choice emails when giving our notice to Stevens and Carters. Within a week of putting our house on the market with the new estate agents we have sold it and completed within 11 weeks.

I must stress that over the seven weeks we marketed your property, no fees were ever invoiced or charged to you yet during this time, I provided extensive marketing at a higher than recommended asking price, at your request. Throughout, I remained professional, approachable, and compassionate in all our communications whether by email, in person, or over the phone.
My advice on pricing and market conditions was realistic and based on up to date Rightmove data, reflecting how the local market was performing. During the period your property was listed with us, we achieved several viewings and had genuine interest, including parties who wished to purchase but were not yet in a position to proceed.
It is worth noting that the buyer you eventually sold to could well have made their enquiry through us at that time if the property was under our care.
I am disappointed by how this situation has unfolded, but I remain confident that we delivered a professional, proactive, and committed service throughout.

Brilliant estate agents! I have been with Stevens and Carter for 17 years, renting out my Hailsham property with them, and latterly selling it through them as sole agents.
Throughout, every single member of staff I have dealt with has been unfailingly courteous and friendly, and the letting went without a hitch - there was never a period without a tenant.
The property was on the market for a fairly short time, and there were viewings from the moment it went on sale. Altogether what can be a traumatic and stressful experience was entirely trouble-free.
I cannot praise this agency too highly, and would not hesitate to recommend them to anyone in that area thinking of letting or selling their property.

We have just sold our first home with Steven’s and Carter. The photos were incredible and the listing was up the next day. Within a few days we’d had the first offer and in just six days it was sold for asking price. The communication from Samuel, Sam, Nick and Lucy was brilliant and they really helped get things moving for not just us as the Sellers but for our Buyers too. We have just moved into mobile home, from start to finish Lucy and the team from Stevens and Carter have been brilliant ..especially on our moving date....the money hadn't transferred by the end of day...we would of bin homeless and had to pay for our stuff to go into storage....Stevens and Carter stepped in and sorted everything out for us...they have been above and beyond...so much so we have gone to them for my mum.
