I cannot recommend Stellar Building Performance and the owner, Mario, enough!
We purchased our 1993 home in Viera in mid-February, after having a thorough home inspection completed. When the first truly hot days of summer arrived, however, we realized our air conditioning system was struggling to keep up. An HVAC company we had used in the past told us it was not the system itself and suggested expensive work in the attic. But, before spending thousands of dollars, we wanted an unbiased opinion from someone who wasn’t trying to sell us equipment or additional services.
That’s exactly what we found with Mario.
He performed an incredibly thorough home energy audit that included a heat load and air leakage investigation, blower door testing with detailed notes and photos, duct leakage testing, infrared imaging, room-by-room pressure measurements, and comprehensive insulation inspections of both the walls and attic. More importantly, he took the time to explain verbally, and with a written report, what he was finding, why it mattered, and what improvements would provide the greatest benefit for our home.
The report and recommendations were detailed, educational, and gave us the confidence to make informed decisions instead of simply accepting costly recommendations from contractors.
