I rode both hunters and jumpers with the Steffees for several years before moving to another state for school. During that time, the Steffees found me amazing horses. One introduced me to the jumper ring, another qualified me for indoors in the amateur jumper division. They work hard to provide the best for both the horses and clients. I started riding with Sean and Livia many years ago, they truly care about their students and the horses. I learned so much both in and out of the saddle from them. They were able to take my green horse and I in and help us accomplish all of our goals! I had the privilege of meeting Sean over 16 years ago, and Livia even earlier than that, and the two of them have helped shape who I am both in and out of the ring ever since. From early schooling shows to my collegiate riding career and continuing as I could in the decade since, every moment spent in their program is a lesson in true horsemanship and every client is a welcomed part of their family. They understand our love for the animals and the sport, and help each individual find the space and tools to be their very best. There were times I rode weekly and others with six months out of the saddle, and thanks to their support and coaching, blue ribbons at shows or getting high scores in Sean's end-of-lesson "Championship of the World" games were a result each time. I have been horseback riding for 30 years with many different trainers and Sean and Liv are the most amazing trainers I have ever had. Not only are they incredibly talented riders, but theyāre also exceptional teachers. They know exactly how to teach in a way that is supportive while encouraging you to be better. They are amazing at getting you in the right head space at the show and before you go in the ring. I never won classes so consistently until I was showing with them. My ability as a competitor increased exponentially. They are also great people and fun to be with, which makes lessons and shows even better.
