This was the perfect weekend escape from Edinburgh with my partner and parents. After a long day of exploring Dunnottar Castle, we arrived to a warm, clean and welcoming space. We put the log fire on and got to cooking dinner, ending the evening with a game of chess. It really felt like a retreat in the quiet and beautiful town of Ballater. The host gave clear directions and was very attentive. Highly recommend!
Great stay again, this is our second time at these lovely tiny houses. We went for the bigger one this time and it was better in some ways. It was great to not have to move around the ladder up to the bed and to just have a little more space. The bed area, because it’s high up, gets really warm so bear that in mind and keep the window open. The living area was well laid out. It would be nice for the place to come with some fire lighters as newspaper just isn’t quite enough to get the fires going easily enough. The swing was a great whimsical touch and the hot tub is great as ever. Although it was confusing because on some of the signs it said we had to wash without soap and some with so wasn’t sure. Will definitely be recommending and probably thinking about booking again in the future.
A lovely retreat. 2 adults and 2 teens found space to relax and recharge. A beautiful part of the world. The Tiny House may be small, as advertised, but is beautifully formed and has huge heart. Everything we needed was provided and the home was toasty warm during a cold February. Recommended.
This is the best place I have ever stayed of all the Air B&B I have stayed, very clean, beautiful house, peaceful and quiet, had everything you need for the stay, the wood burner was the highlight, but over all house was beautiful and as seen in picture .. host was very quick in response and helpful. Definitely will visit again if I travel to Glenshee
Stunning cottage, spacious, comfortable and perfect for family
☺ The cottage is really spacious and comfortable, large rooms, fantastic large kitchen with everything you need. Lovely open fireplace in the living room and super comfortable beds.
☹ Only thing we don’t like was having to go home
We family of 4) really enjoyed the experience of staying in this tiny home with our two daughters (early twenties). They found the top bed very comfortable and really enjoyed trying out the outdoor bath and pizza oven. The kitchen had everything we needed including a coffee machine. There was plenty of wood for anything including the cutest wood burning stove. The hot tub was an added bonus for the evening after returning from exploring such beautiful location.
Lovely cottage - would stay again.
☺ The cottage was very spacious, the bed was really comfy and it was a nice place. Great to have an enclosed garden as well. Great location. Dog friendly. Fireplace was fantastic.
☹ The boiler had an issue which meant the central heating kept not working and we had to reset the boiler outside (during the rain) quite a few times during our stay. The owners were very responsive in telling us how to do this when we noticed the issue late on a Friday night but the heating was not reliable throughout our stay.
