We recently visited Fayrouz Authentic Mediterranean Cuisine on Main Street in Carmel, and it honestly turned into one of those experiences where everything just works. We started with a few appetizers, and right away the hummus stood out—super smooth, perfectly creamy, and full of flavor with just the right balance of tahini, lemon, and olive oil. The falafel and kibbeh came out crispy on the outside and soft inside, packed with warm spices that made every bite feel authentic. Then came the chicken shawarma, and that was the highlight—juicy, well-seasoned, wrapped with garlic sauce and pickles, simple but incredibly satisfying. We finished with a Dubai chocolate cake that was rich and the perfect way to end the meal. The space itself is casual and welcoming, with enough seating inside and outdoor tables that are perfect for spring, and you also have the option to order ahead and pick up. Overall, it’s the kind of spot where you can tell they care about the food, and it’s definitely a place we’d come back to—especially for that shawarma.
Great food!
A couple of weekends ago, I visited FAYROUZ Authentic Mediterranean with my husband and some friends, and we loved it. Everything we tried was delicious, the dips, the shawarma, all of it. Definitely a place to come back to. Highly recommended!
