Working with Joel was definitely one of the best decisions I made with taking control of my debt situation. I had originally reach out to another lawyer and did I phone consultation. I finished the call so confused and uncertain if I even wanted to move forward with the process. I got Joel's information from someone I was dating at the time who had previously used him for his bankruptcy. I went on to his website and scheduled a face to face consultation which I was able to get right away! Within minutes I received an email with a checklist of everything I would need for the consultation which I didn't even get with the other lawyer. At that point, I felt so much more at ease with moving forward. At the initial consultation, Joel was able to break everything down for me and explained it so that I understood what my options were. He was there for me every step of the way and making sure I had everything I needed and responded timely to any email or phone call I had to make. The process did not take long at all and I received my discharge letter recently. My experience with Attorney Spivack was negative, in that he was unprofessional and rude, cutting me off when explaining my needs and talking to me like I was a child. He was arrogant as he also repeated “multiple times” that he had 30 years in the business. I like to believe that he is perhaps a knowledgeable lawyer, BUT paying an attorney to be belittled isn’t right.

Amazing lawyer, personable, easy to talk to.
I reached out to Joel with some questions and for some advice - I was consideration filing Chapter 13 and I wasn't sure if it was the right decision. Joel personally called me right back, answered all my questions, and pointed me in the right direction. The filing process was a bit tedious but Joel was great and was with me through the whole process and willing to answer any questions or ease any concerns I had. I would definitely recommend Joel.
