Dr Antonacci saved my life. Back in 2003 after seeing many spine surgeons, neurosurgeons and orthopedic spine surgeons, every other doctor missed the main issues going on in my neck. Dr. Antonacci took his time evaluating each symptom and didn’t just settle for what everyone else thought was obvious. He ordered new MRIs and then other tests that confirmed his thought that I had a spinal cording just at c3-c4. I was young, 37, at the time and he looked at the technology that was coming down the line and departed my original surgery into two separate surgeries five years apart. Unfortunately I had a weird occurrence happen and developed a cyst under the bottom level of my fusion c3-c7 and I then needed a posterior surgery that went from c3-t2. Most recently I needed my lumbar and a second cervical posterior that I unfortunately had done by two other doctors that worked together. These surgeons, who were also top in their field, were not nearly as meticulous as Dr. Antonacci. I think about Dr. Antonacci often as I am blessed to have watched my three young boys grow into three wonderful productive men. Thank you Dr. Antonacci and know that you are in Ron, the boys and my heart!!!

Devastating outcome from a costly surgery I underwent anterior scoliosis correction surgery with Dr. Antonacci in Oct 2024 and the outcome has been devastating. I paid a significant amount out of pocket for this surgery — with the expectation that it would improve my quality of life. Instead, it resulted in life-altering complications. Shortly after the procedure, I developed extreme orthostatic hypotension, which was never disclosed to me as a potential risk. It has profoundly impacted my ability to live a normal life. In addition, I suffered nerve damage during the surgery that led to paralysis in parts of my abdominal muscles. This caused a visible bulge, complete loss of core function, and ongoing physical and emotional distress. On top of everything, the financial burden continues. I’ve had to pursue ongoing specialist care, physical therapy, and supportive treatments — all while managing reduced independence and a drastically altered daily life. My concerns and symptoms were dismissed and I felt gaslit rather than heard. What was supposed to be a major step toward healing instead left me with irreversible harm. I’m sharing this not out of bitterness, but in the hope that others are better informed — and that accountability is brought to a process that, in my case, lacked transparency, compassion, and proper care.

My 25 year old daughter had a successful ASC performed June 28. She had a severed S curve with major rotation. We are so grateful to Dr. Antenocci for his incredible work in bringing about this approach for fusionless scoliosis surgery. This group of surgeons are the greatest! They are experts and very helpful through out the whole process. My daughter is approaching her 1 year post ASC surgery and she is doing great. No pain and went from 60+ lumbar and 48 thoracic curves to 7.8 lumbar and 13.7 thoracic. I am so thankful for this group of surgeons!

Hands down the most talented, pioneering, thoughtful, and professional team for scoliosis correction. Our daughter was diagnosed with a 47deg Scoliosis at age 11. After meeting with many fine professionals, all recommending old-style fusion surgeries, we met with Dr. Betz and his team who offered an advanced approach (Anterior Scoliosis Correction), which keeps the spine flexible, with much quicker recovery time (2w out of bed, ~2mo for complete recovery), minimal scarring, and zero pain/discomfort post recovery. The team's bedside manners are amazing, before, during hospitalization, and after. Their support team is just as amazing, which is super appreciated with all the parental stress they have to deal with. Highly recommended.

We coudn' be happier with our decision to haven't our daughter's surgery with the ABC team. The hospital nurses and staff were amazing and the surgery was more successful than we imagined. We are 4 months post surgery and my daughter is doing great. She was back to school after 4 weeks and back to running after 6 weeks. We are very thankful to have found this fusion-less option.

We traveled from Texas to NYC for my daughter to have VBT surgery with the ABC team. They were absolutely wonderful!! She was back to dance after 6 weeks. She is now almost 5 years post op, doing great, and still dancing!

My daughter spent 5 years in Mehta casts starting as a toddler and we wanted to do anything to avoid her having magec rod surgery as there are far too many risks involved. We found Doctors Antonacci, Betz & Cuddihy through a Facebook support group for scoliosis. They have honestly given my daughter her childhood back by allowing her spine to remain flexible with ASC/ Anterior Scoliosis Correction surgery on 9-14-18, she was 5.5 years old. We will forever be grateful for Docs ABC and their entire staff and this life changing surgery. Their care is top notch. They really examine my daughter’s back thoroughly at every visit and compare x-rays and measurements with detail. No spinal doctors that we saw before them take the time for this. Forever grateful, they were/are the answer to years of prayers!
